Are you thinking about alternatives to milk those have gained popularity in recent years ? But working with such products is far from simple, with formulation and production challenges that are, in some cases, entirely new. But we have already gained experience using our Stability Analyzer. In this application example , we’ve chosen to focus on how manufacturers can solve key formulation and production challenges . The exact balance of such ingredients will depend on the specific nutritional profile the manufacturer aims to achieve. Stability is an important area for manufacturers to focus on. Objective will be to find products with less sedimentation, a longer shelf-life and enhanced texture and creaminess. These tests you can perform by our MS 20 Stability Analysers in accelerated way, you don’t have to wait for months in your lab.

How is Liquid Soap Made? The large-scale production of liquid soap is a multi-stage, complex process that requires specialized chemical knowledge and advanced technology. So, how is liquid soap produced? Step 1: Formulation Formulation is the first step in liquid soap production. The process involves combining water, surfactants (which create the foaming effect), and various active ingredients like vitamins, essential oils, or extracts. The water undergoes desalination and treatment to ensure the highest quality. Step 2: Testing Once the formulation is complete, the liquid soap undergoes testing. Only when these tests yield positive results can the soap move into mass production. Step 3: Mixing Equipment After the raw materials are delivered and unloaded, they are weighed and added to the mixer. This process is fully automated. Step 4: Quality Control A sample of liquid soap from the mixer is sent to the quality control department to check for compliance with standards. Key factors such as density, color, viscosity, scent, and pH are assessed. If the product passes, it can proceed to bottling. Step 5: Bottling The production line is used to fill the liquid soap. These lines differ based on packaging type. For bottles, liquid filling machines are commonly used, while for pouches, liquid packing machines are employed. Packaging can be done in-house or by an external supplier. Step 6: Capping and Labeling Once bottles are filled, they are capped and labeled using capping and labeling machines. Step 7: Final Quality Check Before the product is released to the market, it undergoes a final quality inspection to ensure it meets the specifications. Step 8: Storage and Transport After passing quality control, the products are packed and sent to the warehouse for storage and distribution. #LiquidSoap #Manufacturing #QualityControl #Production

A, B, C s of Formulation: E is for Extract - some plant based ingredients are derived from the plant by extracting the material from the plant and thus the name extract. E is for Emulsion - a mixture of two or more liquids which are not normally homogenous when blended. Many lotions are oil in water emulsions (labelled o/w), which are made my pouring the oil phase into the water phase. Emulsifying agents are ingredients that allow the emulsion to mix. Stability must be tested for emulsions. #alchemistsister #turnyourprojecttogold
