Warning: this post might make you hungry! 🎂🍰 We want to take the opportunity to say thank you to our friends at Violet Cakes for their support over the past year. Claire and her team first reached out to the Hospice last October, and since then, they’ve kept our hard-working teams well fed with their beautiful donations of cakes, cookies and biscuits. Their (delicious!) random acts of kindness make such a difference to the wellbeing of our staff, patients and families, and help us to say thank you to the amazing people who make our Hospice so special. Claire and team, we are so grateful for your generosity! 💜😊 #VioletCakesLondon #VioletBakery #EastLondon #GivingBack #StJosephsHospice

IT'S A HEART THING Glen Meadows located in Hamilton, Ohio has a monthly BINGO store for their residents; the residents get BINGO bucks for participating and winning games. Torlana is a Restorative Aide at the facility and one of her residents doesn't like BINGO but like to shop at the store. Torlana takes him and then with her own money makes a donation to the store. We have so many good staff that go above and beyond for their residents because they become like family. Doing something extra for someone and not wanting anything in return is a beautiful thing. Foundations Core Value #2 is "Do what is right, even when no one is watching." Torlana is one of so many more of our caring staff across the State that give so much of themselves to their residents and fellow staff. They are our Culture of Care, and they are making a difference every day. You don’t do the right things for credit, you do it because it’s right. Torlana does what she does for her residents because it makes her residents feel happy and at home! By doing what’s right and not looking for recognition makes everyone’s jobs and lives easier and more fulfilled. It's simply a heart thing. #heartthing #doingwhatsright #glenmeadows #foundationshealthsolutions #cultureofcare #makingadifference #seniorliving #seniorcare

Absolutely inspiring initiative! The journey from 1 billion to the audacious goal of 100 billion meals is not just commendable but a beacon of what true leadership in philanthropy looks like. In the face of global food insecurity, this initiative by Feeding America, supported by such remarkable campaigns, SHOWS actionable love and kindness can indeed rewrite the stories of millions. Leveraging Giving Tuesday for such a vital cause amplifies the impact of individual contributions, making every dollar count significantly more. The decision to double match donations is a strategic move that not only incentivizes giving but also maximizes the reach and effectiveness of the fundraiser. As we dissect the mechanics of this campaign, it's the blend of ambitious goals, timely action, and leveraging communal support that sets a blueprint for successful philanthropic drives. It’s a powerful reminder that every small act of generosity contributes to a larger narrative of hope and resilience. Let’s all rally behind this cause and push the boundaries of what we can achieve together in creating a hunger-free world. Tony Robbins
One simple act of LOVE and KINDNESS can change someone’s entire day, week, or life. ❤️ This Giving Tuesday, I invite you to join us in coming together to bring hope and kindness to our brothers and sisters in need. It’s heartbreaking to know that food insecurity still impacts millions—children, families, and seniors alike—but together, we hold the power to rewrite that story. In 2015, in partnership with Feeding America, I launched the 1 Billion Meals Challenge and we met this extraordinary goal last year - two years ahead of schedule! While it’s incredible to celebrate providing 1 billion meals, there is still so much more work to be — I announced last year my overall goal to provide 100 billion meals worldwide. 🙌 This week, I invite you to join us in our ANNUAL GIVING TUESDAY FUNDRAISER benefiting Feeding America — it’s LIVE starting today! 💥 Through December 4th, we’ll DOUBLE MATCH every dollar donated via https://lnkd.in/gfe4MxmQ —meaning your generosity has TRIPLE the impact, up to a total match of $50,000. Here’s what that means: 🍽️ $1 = 10 meals for those in need. 🍽️ $10 = 300 meals with the double match. Every gift matters. Every meal matters. This is how we create a brighter, more compassionate world—one meal, one act of love at a time. Let’s come together as a community and FORCE FOR GOOD and show what’s possible when we lead with love and purpose. ❤️

Every Christmas we try to make the world a little brighter for children, adults and families across the North West: whether that's making sure that young ones receive a Christmas present, helping families afford a festive dinner, or making care leavers feel less alone. We can only do this thanks to the kindness of our own community. Did you know there are countless ways to help? -You could make a small donation to cover the cost of a toy, a food hamper or toiletries. 🧸 -You can buy a raffle ticket for yourself or as a present for your loved ones. 🎟️ -You could buy your presents from our online stores. 🛍️ -You could gift a support animal sponsorship subscription to the animal lovers in your life. 🐹 -You could get your Christmas cards from us. 🎄 -You could volunteer your time and help us at events, and pack and sort presents. 🙋 -You could donate your old knits to charity. 🧶 -You could like and share our Christmas appeal posts to help others learn more about our charity and how we help communities. 🎁 Make a difference: https://lnkd.in/dExVwyts

How are you planning to give back to your community this holiday season?
I'd like to invite everyone in the events industry to intentionally look for ways to do good within their communities this holiday season. This industry can take a lot out of you, but it is also filled with some of the biggest hearts I've ever seen. We started our Holiday Giveback Program 4 years ago as a way to channel all of that potential for good into our local communities. This year I'd like to challenge my peers and friends in the events industry to participate as well, by finding little ways to help the people around you and in your community. Our team members put on their creative caps every year and every year I'm blown away by their examples of kindness and how they go above and beyond to find new ways to help others. Weather it's rounding up items for donation to local youth shelters, giving the money to local families going through hard times, buying gifts for holiday drives, donating to animal shelters or event just giving someone an extra special tip on their meal, these acts of kindness warm my heart and are the essence of the holiday season. If you're ready to get started, but don't know where to start you can check out some awesome examples of things my team has done in the past (https://lnkd.in/g5jkS7Dm). Otherwise, I wish you luck in your endeavors to do more good for those around you and I would love to hear about what you come up with!
