IT'S A HEART THING Glen Meadows located in Hamilton, Ohio has a monthly BINGO store for their residents; the residents get BINGO bucks for participating and winning games. Torlana is a Restorative Aide at the facility and one of her residents doesn't like BINGO but like to shop at the store. Torlana takes him and then with her own money makes a donation to the store. We have so many good staff that go above and beyond for their residents because they become like family. Doing something extra for someone and not wanting anything in return is a beautiful thing. Foundations Core Value #2 is "Do what is right, even when no one is watching." Torlana is one of so many more of our caring staff across the State that give so much of themselves to their residents and fellow staff. They are our Culture of Care, and they are making a difference every day. You don’t do the right things for credit, you do it because it’s right. Torlana does what she does for her residents because it makes her residents feel happy and at home! By doing what’s right and not looking for recognition makes everyone’s jobs and lives easier and more fulfilled.
