BRIGHTER LIVES GIVING DAY 💙💛 You might have noticed our College turning blue and yellow this week! We’re showing our support for Brighter Lives Townsville Hospital Foundation's Giving Day today. This year marks 35 years of Brighter Lives improving healthcare in North Queensland. The foundation raises funds for essential medical equipment, projects, research, and those little comforts that improve hospital stays, all thanks to their dedicated team of 120 volunteers in yellow shirts who assist throughout the region. Every dollar raised stays in North Queensland and supports local initiatives, no matter the size. Join us in making a meaningful difference in healthcare - donate this Giving Day! Visit charidy.com/brighterlives to contribute ✨ Stephanie Naunton

Because Health Equity matters.
Hello! Please check out our new fundraising campaign! We are trying to raise $15,000. The money raised will go towards our clinic which has been struggling with funding over the past year. As of today, Vida has provided medical care to hundreds of individuals who lost their jobs, didn't qualify for federal or state programs, or simply were ineligible for insurance for a brief time. This is personal to Karla and me, as we both had been uninsured at some point in our lives. Anything counts - and if you can't donate, please just share our fundraising campaign! Appreciate your time! Thank you!

As a company, we're committed to continually exploring innovative ways to give back and to adopt sustainable practices. National Patient Transport recently donated expired medical supplies to Medical Pantry. Rather than letting these supplies go to landfill, Health and Safety Officer Marc (pictured) took the initiative to organise to give them to this worthy charity. Not only is the useful life of these supplies extended, Medical Pantry is able to provide essential resources to communities where access to these resources may be limited. To date, Medical Pantry has diverted 15 tonnes of medical supplies from landfill and donated 8 tonnes directly to underserved communities. This initiative is just one example of how we're using our resources to make a meaningful impact beyond our business. #sustainability

In alignment with our commitment to sustainability, we're proud to share that we've recently donated expired medical supplies to Medical Pantry. Rather than letting these supplies go to landfill, our Health and Safety Officer Marc, has taken the proactive initiative to organise to donate them to this worthy charity. By repurposing these resources, we're not only extending their useful life but also supporting Medical Pantry to provide essential resources to communities where access to these resources may be limited. Roger Moore from the Altro technical team has been in Nairobi, training John Macharia to fit two vehicles with Altro floors and walls for G4G and KMET, creating mobile healthcare clinics. 🚐 Roger said, "John has been fantastic, and once the second van is ready, he’ll manage it on his own. It’s been challenging, but it’s so rewarding. Tomorrow, we’re meeting Griffin and Queentah Wambulwa, who we’re working with for their charities. I can’t wait to see their faces." We’re proud to be making a difference with these mobile clinics that go beyond the traditional healthcare system, bringing essential healthcare directly to beneficiaries in remote areas of Kenya. Help C19LAP disseminate Long COVID education and resources as well as network with over 13,000 public health professionals at the 2024 American Public Health Association Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MN! Our fundraising goal is *at least* $5,000 by the end of July. (currently at $100) Your donations will help with: Travel, lodging, and per diem for ~6-8 people and their registration as exhibitors. Booth rental space and tables, 10x10' booth backwalls, booklets, brochures, business cards, give away’s, TV playing videos, masks, sanitizer, and other materials. Why support this effort? APHA’s Annual Meeting draws nearly 13,000 public health professionals who learn, network, and engage with colleagues. Due to leadership health, and costs of events like this, C19LAP does not have the ability to network as other organizations do. We want to show up in force, reengage the public and the very officials who “make the rules”, and grow our network to be able to expand the work we do. C19LAP is taking every step and intervention possible to keep our team safe. We are the only COVID / Long COVID org going. C19LAP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. You can donate at the link below, or email us at contact@longhauler-advocacy.org to donate by check. https://lnkd.in/gc_csdwX We can reach our goal in community of $9,000+ people! Below is an example of how we can get there! We appreciate anything you are able to contribute! 50 people donate $100 100 people donate $50 200 people donate $25 250 people donate $20 333 people donate $15 500 people donate $10 1,000 people donate $5
