Exton Park Vineyard in UK hosted the inspiring Sparkling Wine Master Class, where industry professionals and enthusiasts gathered to deepen their knowledge on the benefits of using cork stoppers in sparkling wines. The event included a presentation by Amorim Cork’s R&D team on the advancements and innovations of cork stoppers, followed by a talk by Pieter Ferreira, winemaker at Graham Beck, who shared global insights on industry trends. Participants also enjoyed a tasting of sparkling wines, experiencing the benefits of the tirage and 2-disc cork stoppers in practice. This meeting emphasised Amorim Cork’s commitment to supporting UK sparkling wine producers, strengthening partnerships and promoting sustainability. As Francisco Campos, R&D at Amorim Cork, said, “there was a fantastic energy in the room and the participants were enthusiastic for information about the impact of cork”. Pieter Ferreira also praised the initiative, emphasising that “the event showed Amorim Cork to be a true partner for the future of sparkling wines in the UK”. A special thank you to Alastair Benham, winemaker at Gusbourne, whose collaboration was essential in making this event a success. #AmorimCork #Sustainablebynature #AmorimCorkStoppers #CorkStoppers #Cork #SparkplingWine #WineMasterClass

I found using flowcharts to understand the sequence, winemaking options, unique or common patterns across each of the D5 fortified wines: Sherry, Port, Madeira, VDN and Rutherglen Muscat helps with memory recall and review. I have also included key wines styles as a result of these winemaking flows. Check them out, I hope it helps! https://lnkd.in/gY6fWShp #wsetdiploma #wsetdiplomaunit5

Krug Champagne is renowned for its contribution to the innovation of champagne production. They were one of the first champagne houses to perfect the art of blending wines from different vineyard plots to create a more complex and balanced final product. This process is now common practice for the traditional winemakers of Champagne, as it ensures a high quality and consistency regardless of the success of the grape yield. Last week saw the release of Krug 2011, scoring 95/100 from critics. This high-scoring Champagne has already maintained Krug's reputation of being one of the world's best wine producers in the world. 📈 🍷 #vinx #finewine #alternativeinvestments #alternativeassets

In 2024, a fascinating trend will emerge: the rise of the neo-négociants. A négociant is a wine producer who does not grow their own grapes but sources them from various experienced winemakers. A neo-négociant, on the other hand, is a master of both arts - he is both a winemaker and a merchant and can choose from a wide range of terroirs. We can expect the code "RM" (Récoltant Manipulant) to appear on more and more bottles in the coming year as this trend gains momentum. But what is behind this code? These small letters indicate whether it is an anonymous commercial wine, a bottling from a winegrowers' co-operative or a personal producer's bottling. This distinction can be very important for wine connoisseurs, as it reflects the origin and quality of the wine. What about you? Do you always pay attention to the code? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments! 🥂 #champagne #champagnercode #CelebrateWithProWein #prowein2024 #cheersprowein #prowein #proweintradefair #winebusiness #wineprofessionals #winetasting #wineshop #winetrends #tradefair #winetrade #winecommunity #winetradefair #overseas #international #internationalexhibitors #exhibitors
