We've been delighted by the response to our announcement at #COP29, together with the International Code Council, in developing and registering a Universal Data Protocol to support the use of data across the infrastructure and construction sectors. Building on the United Nations Transparency Protocol (UNTP), this innovative, open-source protocol is designed to enable interoperable data use across the built environment, supporting robust and reliable reporting on climate and other performance goals. 💡 Interested in learning more? Watch the COP29 presentation below and visit our website for additional details: https://lnkd.in/gBsucu7d As we move forward to the proof of concept and implementation phase, we invite you to join us in this significant effort. Your participation could be pivotal in shaping the future of data interoperability and environmental reporting. Adam Stingemore Ryan Colker Judy Zakreski 赵笛

Ronald Reagan's famous Russian proverb, 'Trust, but verify' resonates deeply in today's data-driven world. As data collection surges, trust in its accuracy declines. Trustworthy sustainability (#SEE) data hinges on transparency, timeliness, consistency, and guarding against greenwashing. Current standards aim for uniformity, yet without verifiable trust, data risks becoming noise. To address this, initiatives like #ESRS, #ISSB, and #TNFD push for credible reporting. On The G17Eco Platform, we harness technology to deliver clear, error-free data, crucial for informed decisions in sustainability and beyond. Trust in data isn't just a buzzword; it's the bedrock of credibility. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/ep-nSaXk #sustainabilitydata #trusteddata #esg #esgdata #seedata #transparency

Three reflections from the Water Equipment Show (#WES2024) yesterday... 1. The water industry is innovative by nature - the technology on display yesterday shows we have promising solutions to some of the biggest challenges we're facing. 2. Organisations are under increasing pressure to make the most of their assets as they try to manage several multi-faceted and interconnected climate risks. 3. There is significant value in data to help organisations do more, with less. By connecting the dots and bringing together the full breadth of data available, we can make better decisions. A final point... I was asked at the end of my talk, how organisations could implement or improve their data driven decision-making? My answer was fairly simple... don't be afraid to make a start. There is incredible value in pilot studies to see how a small investment can make a big difference.
