It’s a somber day for our nation. I’ve only learned or watched archive news footages of presidential assassinations and/or attempts of the past. But the recent attempt on a presidential candidate is a reminder of our nation’s fragility. We may disagree on policy issues and solutions, but we must recommit to active listening, finding common ground and compromise, and building consensus. Because a functioning democracy isn’t just about voting and representation. It is a bedrock of innovation, ideas, and industrial success. Each of us must do our part because our future depends on it.

Exploring the True Essence of Democracy ============================== Democracy is a beacon of hope, a system that places the will and welfare of the people at its heart. It's a celebration of diverse voices and a commitment to collective progress. However, democracy is not synonymous with dominance. It does not seek to impose one nation's will upon another, nor does it thrive on the subjugation of differing ideologies. As a global community, we have witnessed countless events, each a potential lesson in governance, empathy, and unity. Yet, it seems we have scarcely grasped the depth of these teachings. It is time for reflection, for nations to look beyond their borders and see the shared humanity that binds us all. Let us embrace the true spirit of democracy—where every voice is heard, every culture respected, and every nation is an equal partner in the quest for a better world. Together, we can learn, grow, and build a future that honors the very principles of freedom and equality that democracy promises. Let's start a global conversation about how we can embody these ideals in our daily lives and lead by example. Your thoughts and insights are not just welcome, they are essential. Thanks.

Very Important - you should read the entire article - we need to recruit millions of people that are too busy working and paying their bills to see what the "Controligarchs" are doing to us. "Who are the World’s Elite Organizations? They are every important organization – those with great influence (and police-state powers) – including all governmental agencies and departments as well as international government organizations like the UN, WHO, and European Union." "They are also all the major “crony” corporations that benefit from close ties to government and non-governmental organizations." "Plus, foundations like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Wellcome Trust, and the Rockefeller Foundation, which have more money than many nations and certainly more ideological commitment to deploy their resources to implement their agendas." "In the last four years, any organization that vociferously supported all the Covid protocols would be examples of “captured” organizations that enthusiastically supported the Current Thing." "But these same organizations also support all the other ascendant political movements, such as the fight against (allegedly) man-made Climate Change, numerous wars or “interventions” to advance “democracy,” central bank digital currency, and ever more mRNA “vaccines.” " "Furthermore, it’s obvious these same organizations support initiatives designed to discredit long-accepted cultural norms in favor of more “progressive” thinking that normalizes gender reversal, race grievances, LGBT+ initiatives, or any reform that advances “diversity, inclusion, or equity.” "The good news is our side – those who still believe in human liberty – vastly outnumbers the group that is clearly aligned against us." "The bad news is the the enemies of freedom – the worshippers of Big Brother – control all of the institutions and organizations in the world that actually matter." "Still, the committed generals and staff officers who are seeking even more global control of the masses are…greatly outnumbered by people who are repulsed by their programs." "My estimate is there must be tens of millions of people who think like I do, people who would like to stop all the goals of the WEF, Davos, and WHO crowd." "Substack has more than 35 million subscribers, probably 20 percent of whom are searching for content they know they won’t find in, say, the New York Times or CBS News. That would be a “market” of 7 million freedom-supporting citizens." "To help keep this middle group indifferent or on their side, the Deep State concocted the concepts of disinformation and misinformation to smear or throttle the influence of those on our side." "If and when the masses realize who’s been producing the real disinformation, freedom might pull an upset victory."
On one side, we have the 200,000 or so leaders of thousands of important captured organizations. On the other side, we have 10 to 20 million citizens who’ve found each other in the alternative media. ~Bill Rice The Numbers Favor Our Side https://lnkd.in/eDYsDMuU

🌍✨ Imagine a true multiracial democracy where the power of the people reigns supreme, transcending the influence of those in positions of authority. At Movement Strategy Center, we firmly believe in the transformative strength inherent within communities to shape our collective destiny. In "Imagine What a True Multiracial Democracy Looks Like," Dr. Michael McAfee paints a vivid picture of this visionary future for the United States. The Founding Fathers penned "We, the People," but diverse families and communities across our nation have propelled us toward the true essence of democracy. From PolicyLink, Dr. McAfee issues a compelling call to action for profound self-renewal at the individual and institutional levels. He challenges us to envision and re-establish the United States as a thriving multiracial democracy: "We must assert our right to shape a better country, on our terms. We have the opportunity to pioneer a nation where everyone is equally protected, where our economy serves people and the planet, not just profit, and where we've addressed the injustices of the past to forge a path towards a new future." What if our new democracy embraced deep respect for our ancestors and indigenous wisdom? What if we operated from a worldview rooted in sacredness, care, cooperation, and regeneration? Let's unite and work towards building that future together! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gbSznENz #MultiracialDemocracy #PowerToThePeople

This 15 minute interview with Matt reinforces many of the tenets of inter-movement organizing to generate democracy innovation especially the importance of that work at the community level. Here are a few words about National Civic League’s Center for Democracy Innovation (https://lnkd.in/g_76UCvp) Making democracy more participatory, equitable, and productive. The mission of the National Civic League’s Center for Democracy Innovation is to understand, test, and disseminate innovations that can make democracy more participatory, equitable, and productive. We work to sustain democracy by inviting people to help redesign the “civic infrastructure” of their communities, scale democracy through strategies for inclusive engagement to improve equity and governance, and measure the quality of democracy and engagement, particularly in ways that lift up the views and ratings of residents. The real work to improve democracy is happening at the community level. Local leaders of all kinds are generating new ideas and practices to help people make decisions and solve problems together. The Center examines, supports, and shares these innovations through hands-on technical assistance in communities. https://lnkd.in/gyG-penN

Establishing racial justice within institutions and civil society is how we protect democracy in the 21st century. The democratic future we want requires that we redesign systems and practices now.
➡ ➡ Check out this recent conversation between Chief Network Weaver Julia Roig and Director for Race & Democracy Jarvis Williams as they reflect on the decision to create a new role and portfolio at Horizons to link the efforts of democracy promotion/protection/renewal and racial justice, and why we see the interconnections as essential to forging a path forward to our shared future as a country. 🤔 If you'd like to consult some other resources on this topic, you can also find a curated list of materials on our website: https://lnkd.in/et4fNb6R https://lnkd.in/e5nVKagA
