Amazing. ➡ Anna is really keen ➡ Anna is offered the job and… DECLINES. Ouch 😫 Anna has other options. Anna was offered more money elsewhere. Anna changed her mind. 📌 Attention for all Companies - Remember, employees are an integral part of your organization, akin to family members. Treating them well and understanding their needs is crucial for achieving your objectives. Hiring someone based on their skills and potential is key. Clearly communicate expectations during interviews to ensure mutual understanding and a positive work environment. 🫥If you want donkey 🫏 then hire 🫏. I added this one step into my search processes and it has significantly improved the search experience. At search kick-off, I now ask all my clients: 1. What are the top 3 things you need this hire to accomplish in the next 12-24 months 2. What are the skill sets this hire will need to accomplish that? What does this now do for the hiring team? ♦ Helps us shape the hiring profile based on concrete needs of the business ♦ Instantly creates an interview scorecard for all of us to interview against ♦ Creates totally clarity & alignment because now the entire hiring team is speaking the same language It may seem like a simple step that all PE firms and port cos do, but we ran many searches for PE firms without it for a long time. But I'm now grateful it's part of our approach. #executivesearch #process

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗺? At what point did case studies become a standard part of the hiring process and more importantly why? It used to be that multiple interviews, skills tests, and panel discussions were enough. Now more and more companies are asking candidates to complete long unpaid case studies sometimes requiring hours of work before even making it to the final round. I get wanting to assess problem solving skills but are we actually evaluating candidates or just getting free labor? The hiring process is already long enough. Adding extra hurdles doesn’t make it better. It makes it more exhausting. If a company needs a case study why not pay candidates for their time or better yet evaluate their actual experience instead of making them jump through hoops.

𝗣𝗢𝗩: 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁? I've been in this industry now for 20 years. There have only been few periods in that time where we haven't had a shortage of great talent. Let's be honest, the recruiters are typically always calling your staff members. Anyone who is prepared to move firm is almost definitely going to consider interviewing for other firms, regardless of what their recruiter promises. This means you need to prepare to hire fast. That means: 1. Minimising the number of interviews or hoops they need to jump through to get an offer 2. Make sure you (and anyone else involved in the interviewing process) have time set aside for interviews before you start the recruitment process 3. Make a prompt decision either way I'd love to know your thoughts on this? #accountingandaccountants #scaling #growth #people ?? Want to know more? “After much consideration, we’ve chosen another candidate for the role... we believed you might find it... unchallenging.” This is the disheartening feedback that was given to a candidate after four rounds of interviews for a leadership position. As a recruiter, I find this response frustrating and disrespectful. Here are some key points for hiring managers to consider: - Eliminate assumptions about candidates' motivations. - If you have apprehensions, get them addressed as early as possible. - Stop wasting candidate's time. Dragging candidates through lengthy interviews only to conclude they might be “unfulfilled” wastes everyone’s time and undermines the excitement they bring to the table. Let’s strive for a more transparent and respectful hiring process that honors the effort candidates invest in pursuing opportunities. #Accounting #Finance #Atlanta #Recruiting #CandidateExperience

Is your recruitment or executive search service a cut above the rest, as far as speed and the service you deliver? Do you have specific and innovative strategies that you want to implement as you grow your business and hit new revenue goals? That was Louise Landau - she had a growing executive search business, brilliant ideas, but no time to execute and scale. She also thought no one would quite understand the scope of her business, and the direction she wanted to take it. Watch the video to discover what she did next and how she doubled placements and revenues. P.S. If you want the full interview, drop us a note and we'll arrange to get that to you. #ExecutiveSearchSuccess #ScalingYourBusiness #InnovativeRecruitment #CentredExcellence
