Current diagnostics for threatened preterm labor (TPTL) often fall short, leading to unnecessary interventions and high costs. Innitius' FineBirth device offers a new approach, using an intravaginal probe to measure cervical consistency via torsional wave elastography. In a study of 309 patients, our TPTL algorithm outperformed existing methods with a sensitivity of 57.14% and specificity of 95.38%, assessing spontaneous preterm birth risk within 7 to 14 days. Now, we are getting ready for an international trial in 2025 that will further validate our technology, aiming for broader use and CE marking in Europe.
