Long time barista and coffee mastwr here. After Starbucks i got into roasting. Short of knowing the owner, is there any way to get onto the track of working with farmers and/or creating blends?
I love this message! There’s something extraordinary about how Starbucks brings people together, whether it’s sharing a warm cup with friends or a moment of connection with the barista. It’s a simple reminder that even small acts can brighten someone’s day. Here’s to inspiring kindness and community, one cup at a time. ☕✨

Leadership with Heart
I hope you don’t mind me taking a moment away from our usual LinkedIn posts about achievements to share a story I recently told my kids, a story that truly captures the essence of leadership, kindness, and heart.
In 2003, National Basketball Association (NBA) Coach Maurice Cheeks did something simple, yet incredibly powerful. During a young girl’s national anthem performance, she stumbled and forgot the words. Without hesitation, cool and calm, Coach Cheeks walked up, stood beside her, and began singing along, encouraging the crowd to join in. He didn’t care if he was out of tune, what mattered was that he was in tune with the moment, with her struggle, and with the need to step up. What could have been an embarrassing moment became one of unity and support.
As I shared this story with my kids, it hit me how much that moment reflects true leadership. His act of kindness reminds us that real leaders don’t just stand above, they stand with their people, especially when it matters most. In a world where titles often overshadow character, moments like this remind us that the true measure of a leader isn’t in their title, but in their willingness to show up for others.
It’s a reminder that leadership isn’t just about being there for the wins, but about showing up for others when they’re at their most vulnerable. Sometimes, it’s the smallest gestures that make the biggest impact.
I hope this story resonates with you like it still does with me. We all have the opportunity to lead with heart, and those are the moments people truly remember.
If anyone knows what happened to that young lady, please feel free to share. I’d love to hear her story.

Emotions, like water in a stream, are meant to flow. When we resist them, they gather strength; when we allow them, they find their course again.
In my latest blog, I explore how we can honor our emotions and find resilience amidst uncertainty. I hope it resonates with you.
