🚨 Job Seekers Beware of Recruitment Scams 🚨 I recently encountered a situation where a so-called “recruitment agency” reached out to me for a Frontend Developer role. After expressing my interest and following their process, they requested an upfront payment of 1500 PKR as “recruitment charges.” This isn’t the first time I’ve faced this — I’ve been approached twice by the same company using different WhatsApp numbers, each time claiming they would help with hiring but only after payment. When I requested proof of their legitimacy, they failed to provide any credible evidence beyond their LinkedIn page. Lack of a legitimate website, office location, or client feedback. . Ambiguity and unprofessional communication. Let me be clear: Legitimate recruitment agencies are paid by employers, not job seekers. If you ever encounter a similar situation: Do not pay upfront fees. Verify the job posting directly with the company. Report such scams to LinkedIn, Google, or local authorities like the FIA Cyber Crime Wing in Pakistan.
