🚘 African mobility fintech, Moove , has raised $100 million in a funding round as it plots expansion into new markets. 💱 The Series B round, led by Uber , also includes sovereign wealth fund Mubadala , Dubai-based thelatest.ventures , AfricInvest Group , Palm Drive Capital , Triatlum Advisors AG , and Future Africa , pushing Moove’s post-money valuation to $750 million. 📈 This comes after a year of significant growth for Moove , which is also backed by New York–based Left Lane Capital and European VC Speedinvest . It currently facilitates more than 30 million trips for over 20,000 customers across its six markets. 🌍 According to founder, Ladi Delano , ".. a considerable portion of the expansion into new markets will focus on EVs, which will lay the groundwork for a more sustainable and accessible mobility ecosystem for its customers worldwide." Founded in 2014 by Justin Coetzee, GoMetro is providing a best-in-class, OEM-agnostic #electrification management platform for bus and truck operators – leading #decarbonization in a hard-to-decarbonize sector. The solution improves the operations of hundreds of fleets around the world by providing the building blocks for the rapid development of #mobility applications.
