Matthew Florio and I attempted to define the "attitude" of our best sellers about 8 years ago: There are three components of the Sandler success triangle - Behavior, Attitude, and Technique. -Behavior - Table stakes activity metrics, punctuality, data hygiene, etc. -Attitude - ?????? -Technique - Sales skills Here's what we came up with - Coach, Improve, Compete, Repeat. When you stop laughing hysterically at how corny that sounds, read on. Coach - the best reps are coachable, they take feedback well and implement it right away. Improve - top performers demonstrate a strong desire to improve, emphasis on the word "demonstrate". Compete - competing with themselves, with their peers, and with prospects. How does your attitude as a seller measure up? #sales #salescoaching #startups
