Thanks to all participants and the organizers MobilityXlab and our moderator Sanna (Susanna) Moore for today's Vinnova FFI seminar on the findings from four years of the Accelerate Startup Partnership program. Many well founded and interesting insights were shared. The Accelerate Startup Partnership program has been instrumental to Scania Group's development in working with startups. Fully hooked on the #ventureclienting model we use together with our partner Combient Foundry, I focused on practical things and really, things that are basic but yet, tend to be overlooked in many collaborative situations: - Speed is important. Especially working with startups and project funding. A commercial relationship, working on real challenges with real customer needs, is the best recipe for speed and success. - Ensure your organization is capable of working with startups. This can/will take some time... You need to streamline your internal process and loosen up on the administration for startup pilot projects. And there needs to be an internal change in mindset to that collaboration is key and welcome new ideas, technologies and companies (people) to the ecosystem that you belong to is beneficial for all parties. - Do your homework. Define the scope of the project meticulously. Make sure you lineup the right people, allocate resources and that they have a high understanding of the business benefits of the project. Keep the pace high, make progress and remember to have fun while doing the job together.
