Building a community is a hard thing to do. But it get's a lot easier if you get like-minded minds, good people and a common purpose to gather around. If people truly like each other and care for each other's success then the "community building" aspect comes to a second plane as most of the heavy lifting will be done by the members themselves. A community that constantly has to be triggered and bothered to become active is really just someone trying to make a group of people follow a cause. Our vision in Pygma is fostering a global ecosystem where Latin tech founders can innovate and transform industries with technology and it so happens to be, that many people believe in this and those "many" just happen to be really cool people with an eagerness and determination to build one of the biggest, most driven communities, for latinos building in tech. Hopefully you get to be part in some way, either going to our events, becoming a Pygmalion through our accelerator's cohorts or simply supporting our content. Pd: You don't need to community build, when your community builds itself. #startups #community #events

As a startup community builder, I often talk about the need for a dedicated physical space where our startup communities can gather at all times of the day. While our event communities are thriving and new incubators and accelerators are gaining traction, the next step is to build density—creating a place where both spontaneous interactions and consistent engagement can flourish. It’s natural to wonder, “Who’s working on this?” But as community builders, we know that it’s up to us to take the initiative. Stay tuned as we continue to refine our ideas and make progress in this area.

Without community, you won’t get very far. 🤔 In the world of startups, the word ‘community’ gets thrown around right, left and centre. Why is important to build a community to drive meaningful action? A couple of reasons - Collective intelligence: Startups that collaborate and share knowledge are 3x more likely to scale successfully.💡 Access to funding: According to the Global Climate Action Summit, startups with strong community backing see a 50% higher success rate in securing funding. 💰 Enhanced resilience: Communities provide a platform for startups to test, iterate, and refine their solutions with real-world feedback. 🌐 Supportive ecosystem: Studies show that startups in strong ecosystems have a 60% higher survival rate. A supportive community offers mentorship, peer support, and shared resources, reducing barriers to entry and fostering a culture of resilience and persistence. 📈 Learn more about building your community on our website: https://lnkd.in/edYr7tY6

The Power of Building Startup Communities 🌟 Today, I want to talk about the power of building communities for startups. In a world that’s increasingly digital, focusing on creating a community around your product or service is no longer optional—it’s essential. A strong community fosters growth, opens up networking opportunities, and builds brand loyalty like nothing else. One person I’ve truly admired for his consistency in building and nurturing communities is Inioluwa Mobolorunduro. Watching him grow and maintain a network that thrives on collaboration and mutual support has been inspiring. His approach is a reminder of how impactful consistency is in the long run. So, if you’re building a startup, remember: community is everything. It’s not just about your product but the people behind and around it. 🙌 🔹 Have you been part of a startup community? Let’s hear your experiences!

Hey everyone, Anas here, working on my latest project—Nookery. It’s a platform designed specifically for indie developers, solo creators, and startup builders to share their daily progress, stay accountable, and connect with others on a similar journey. 🤔 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐲? 1. Daily Journals: Share updates about your progress—whether it’s a milestone, a challenge, or just a work-in-progress idea. 2. Community Support: Connect with like-minded creators to get feedback and stay motivated. 3. Gamification & Rewards: Compete on leaderboards, keep daily streaks, and stay inspired through challenges. 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: 80% of profits beyond running costs will be pledged to non-profit initiatives focused on education, healthcare, and community support in underprivileged communities in Pakistan. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 To bring Nookery to life, I need $500 to register the platform as a non-profit in the U.S. This step is essential to integrate Stripe for payments and begin scaling the platform. If this vision resonates with you, I’d deeply appreciate your support—whether through funding, feedback, or even just sharing this post. Every little bit helps! You can also join the waitlist here: https://lnkd.in/eyeMGmKk. Your input would mean the world to me as I continue building this platform. Best, Muhammad Anas DMs are open (: CC: Usman Asif

Founders, here's a text I received recently in a group chat from a founder friend I've been advising against his own will! Founders, there is ton of bad advice everywhere on everything from GTM to fundraising. The hack is to have a close circle of founder friends who you can learn from and bounce ideas off of. Forget advice from VCs or billion-dollar founders from a decade ago. The best guidance comes from founders who are just 12-24 months ahead of you. They’re in the trenches, navigating this market, and their learnings are fresh and relevant. 💡 Building a startup can feel lonely, but it doesn’t have to be. Community is everything. Who’s in your circle? 👇

Here in Minnesota, the tech and startup community has entered something of a dark ages. The amount of startup events happening is thin. Many meetups are almost entirely dormant. Fewer WeWorks. Fewer Techstars programs. Fewer opportunities for startup founders to collide. It would be my honor if you would let any founders that you know that this summer is one of these rare opportunities. Where a few hundred startup founders and execs will all get together. LinkedIn does one thing right: they make it easy for you to share the below event to any founders that you care about. Do you know any founders that are hard at work changing the world? Please let them know there's an entire community ready to help them. Just hit the paper airplane SEND button below and let them know. Or ♻️♻️ repost it to your community. Either way, you'll make a difference.

Lessons Learned from Founding a Startup in Slovakia 💡 Community is everything Join startup communities. Surround yourself with people who inspire, challenge, and support you. It’s amazing how many doors open when you’re around the right crowd. 💡 Run lean Don’t waste time or money building a “perfect” product no one asked for. Start with an MVP and solve one real problem exceptionally well. 💡 Validate on the market Your idea isn’t great until real customers say so, or better yet, pay for it. Test early, gather feedback, and let the market tell you if you’re onto something big. 💡 Just start You don’t need all the answers to take the first step. I’ve learned more from doing (and failing) than from perfect planning. 💡 Learn from others Talk to founders, attend events, and soak in their wisdom. Every conversation has the potential to be a game-changer. 💡 Get a mentor I’ve been fortunate to have mentors who helped me see the big picture and sidestep rookie mistakes. Their guidance has been priceless. So, that’s my journey so far What about you? What’s been your biggest lesson from starting something new?

Hi Network, need your brains for our upcoming Startup Community Awards. Every year we try to have an additional factor in forms of art, giving back or an engagement activity. We have experimented with letters to the community, artists to be included in the gala and featured local startup businesses throughout our gala. We want to keep continuing with what Denis calls WoW factor ;) We have few things in mind, we want to feature local artists, businesses in the gala, have community more involved with the engagement activities and use the opportunity to also share a social/public message. Limited $$$, as you know MNT is always known for doing huge things at very low $$$, we still believe in doing that, we need community help :) We need ideas, contacts, hands to help execute things. If you have seen something cool in the past, have an idea in mind and want to come execute with us, know someone we should talk to or just want to give us a constructive feedback, please write her or ping me/Denis. cc- Denis Luchyshyn Ruth Nieto Córdova
