IT Minister Umar Saif shared promising news for Pakistani startups with global aspirations. The introduction of the BridgeStart program aims to fund 100 startups annually, providing incubation or acceleration opportunities in any of the top 40 incubators/accelerators worldwide. Drawing from the success of startups in established programs like YCombinator and 500 Startups, the initiative addresses resource challenges by offering up to Rs 5 million to qualifying startups for travel, lodging, and other expenses associated with participating in international programs. The program intends to empower Pakistani startups, fostering growth and tapping into more developed ecosystems and funding sources. #IT

Urban Tech Helsinki incubator program is gathering speed! 🏃♀️ Yesterday, at our sunny Maria 01 office space, it was time to work on problem-solution fit. The biggest learning from the session was that your peers are your best educators. 📋   The most important point emphasized in the workshop was that the value created for the customer is the key. The principal issue is that the startup is addressing the right problem – big enough and one that the customer is ready to pay to solve. The other is to identify who is the customer, who will be paying your bills. 💸 After honing in on those ideas, and verifying your assumptions in real life, comes how to identify if you are on the right track. What signs of success (or failure) are you following?
