The 5th point on the 10 things about the Green Alley Award series is Green Alley Award being the centre of circular economy stakeholders. Nick Purser shares some insight on the topic: "I was lucky enough to attend my first Green Alley Award in 2017 – and I’ve been to every final since. I pick up the same (good and sustainable!) vibes each time. The Award creates a unique moment of community for circular economy stakeholders: startups and established companies, lawmakers and academics, crowd-funding specialists and journalists – everyone at the event is committed to a more sustainable future. The final is always in Berlin, and the flavour is always international. I’ve witnessed pitches from outstanding winners – from Estonia, Finland, Germany, Ukraine and the UK – and they’ve fought off pitches from equally impressive runners-up. Maybe once, I was able to say with certainty: they are going to win. The tension is palpable, from the moment the doors open until the winner is announced. And the conversation is about all things circular… and continues long into the night! Yes, for one day in April, the Green Alley Award is the centre of circular economy stakeholders." #GreenAlleyAward #GreenAlleyAward24 #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #Innovation #Entrepreneurship #Recycling #ClosedLoop #Berlin #Startup #Packaging #Compostablepackaging
