Did you know that #ammonia can produce power free of CO2 emissions? Either through direct combustion, or through a cracking system that re-converts ammonia into #hydrogen, which can then be used in a hydrogen-enabled gas turbine. The electrolysis process starts with an eco-friendly, chemical-free water treatment, ensuring that only highly purified water is used. This water, powered by electricity from renewable sources, enters our Bosch #PEM electrolysis stack – the core of hydrogen production💚. Inside the stack, an electric current splits the water into #hydrogen and oxygen. The protons move through the central membrane, generating green hydrogen, which is crucial for advancing the #energytransition.

Each of the dots represents a hydrogen production project (electrolysis) - the scale is by project capacity 🔵 One can see that there is momentum, but is it enough? About 100 years ago, in 1923, John Haldane at Cambridge described a solution to the " power question" using electrolysis: "with rows of metallic windmills working electric motors which in their turn supply current at a very high voltage to great electric mains. At suitable distances, there will be great power stations where during windy weather the surplus power will be used for the electrolytic decomposition of water into oxygen and hydrogen. The rest is history.
