🌾 A shared prospect for farming and food in Europe? Yesterday marked a significant milestone as the European Commission unveils the final report from the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of EU Agriculture. This report is set to be a cornerstone in shaping the Commission’s Vision for Agriculture and Food, which will be unveiled within the first 100 days of President von der Leyen’s second term. At Carlsberg Group, we’re supporting this transformative journey. Our focus? Accelerating the shift to regenerative agriculture—a powerful solution to some of today’s most pressing agri-food challenges. With the right policy frameworks, funding, and data mechanisms in place, the EU Commission has the potential to create an environment where sustainable practices can thrive. It’s crucial that we continue to recognize the importance of these practices in shaping the future of our food systems. Together with our partners, we’re committed to diving into the report’s recommendations and driving meaningful change towards a more sustainable future for agriculture. Let’s plant the seeds of change today for a greener, more resilient tomorrow! 🌾 #SustainableFarming #RegenerativeAgriculture #EUCommission #FutureOfAgriculture

How can we kickstart progress in EU agrifood policy? The strategic dialogue brings opportunities for farmers, but we must give farmers all the tools they need to grow crops successfully in a changing, volatile environment. Despite the EU Fertilising Products Regulation (FPR) recognising the claims and contributions of plant #biostimulants, regulatory hurdles persist, especially for those products derived from micro-organisms or animal by-products. We believe it’s time to update related regulations to enable the adoption of more bio-based solutions and circular economy practices that will deliver more #sustainable agriculture and improve farmers’ competitiveness. 📣News from METOS TÜRKİYE📣 We are excited to announce our partnership with UPL within "Pronutiva" greenhouse tomato project in Elmalı, Antalya, Türkiye! In the early stages, UPL, a global leader in sustainable agricultural solutions, recognized the growing challenges farmers were facing—especially those involved in greenhouse cultivation, where pest pressure and plant health concerns were rising. The story of the Pronutiva project began with a simple yet ambitious goal: to create a more sustainable approach to agriculture by reducing chemical usage and increasing bio-solutions. Through this collaboration, we are leveraging cutting-edge technology to make farming smarter, more efficient, and environmentally friendly. 💡 With real-time data from the METOS®, we’re helping farmers make data-driven decisions—optimizing water usage, improving crop health, and reducing chemical inputs. #metosbypessl #METOSTurkey #agriculturaltechnology #crophealth #farmingchallenges

#ECCAResponds | Our response to the G7 Agriculture Ministers' Communiqué👇 The European Crop Care Association (ECCA) welcomes the recent G7 Agriculture Ministers' Communiqué, and we are pleased to see the alignment of our core messages with the vision of the G7. The Communiqué’s recognition of the importance of providing producers with a diverse toolkit—including traditional methods, new technologies, agroecology and breeding innovations—resonates strongly with our belief in supporting farmers' ability to improve climate-adaption, productivity and competitiveness. Post-patent plant protection products (PPPs) are a key tool in helping farmers manage the impact of climate change, ensuring the profitability of Europe’s agriculture, and providing cost-effective solutions to drive investments in agricultural innovation. We echo the G7’s emphasis on cross-sector collaboration, science, innovation and knowledge exchange to build more resilient and sustainable agriculture. Supporting farmers in implementing sustainable practices is essential in adapting to and mitigating climate change. We hope that this inclusive, science-driven approach will be reflected in future decisions by the European Commission and EU policymakers. Together, we can work towards a future where agriculture is more adaptable, competitive and capable of feeding a growing population – sustainably and competitively. 📄 Full text of the G7 Agriculture Ministers' Communiqué: https://lnkd.in/dS5Bsr5R #PlantProtectionProducts #SustainableAgriculture #AgricutlturePolicy #G7 #FoodSystems #EuropeanCommission #ClimateChange #AgriTech
