Printers are still having a hard time finding staff and filling open positions across the country. We searched by our office and within 25 miles there are currently over 60 open jobs on Indeed. From project managers to prepress personnel to machine operators there are a range of positions with a range of incomes. Working as a press operator One of the best things about working as a press operator is that it's easy to find employment in a variety of industries. Whether you're interested in working in the printing industry, or another industry that uses presses to create products, there are many opportunities for you to explore. The biggest drawback of being a press operator is that the job is physically demanding at times. If you're not comfortable lifting heavy objects or working with machinery, then this is not the right career for you.

If you're in commercial printing or packaging sales you'll want to read this... Anytime I come across a print or packaging job I think we can successfully facilitate, I find the business's contact information and reach out to them. This is how I get a chance to quote on the job almost 90% of the time. Instead of saying: "Any chance you'd be interested in receiving a quote?" I say this: "I've prepared a quote for you. Mind if I send it over?" See the difference? The second approach is more assertive and you're making it easier for the prospect to say "YES!" #commercialprinting #digitalprinting #largeformatprinting #commercialpackaging
