Fake influencers? Unfortunately yes there are. Look for signs of inauthenticity in their presence and interactions. Unusual follower growth, low engagement rate, followers accounts have no profile pictures or inactive accounts, inconsistency in posting, and lack of transparency. And influencers beware! A aspect of this approach is that the brand must understand how to successfully surrender of creative control to the influencer. The era of influencers is coming to an end… At least how it has been in the recent years is coming to an end, but what’s coming now?😲 Influencers are still very much here, but it’s a very saturated market so wanting to get in and start to “influence” you are going to have to have something about you that stands out so clearly people question why they aren’t following you… There is no doubt “infuencing” still works, but just posting a photo of something you’ve touched once isn’t working anymore and the fans are calling you out at this point, to be able to influence you need to do it well and most likely non-challently! But what works now? EGC (Employee generated content) this is on a takeover and businesses doing it are doing it well! Focussing on a few rather than many, when brands choose who they want to work with sure they try and send there products far and wide but choosing a couple that really represent their brand will be far more beneficial!
