Luxembourg is about to experience a significant upgrade in its delivery services as Wolt, a global delivery platform, gears up for its launch in the country. Loren Danesi, the general manager of Wolt Luxembourg, announced that the company will be launching "very soon," bringing its renowned delivery experience to the Grand Duchy. Wolt distinguishes itself by offering more than just food delivery; it's a comprehensive delivery platform that aims to deliver anything you need within 30 minutes. From restaurant orders like sushi and pizza to essential items like eggs, milk, or even an iPhone cable, Wolt's freelance couriers will ensure swift delivery, supporting local shops and enhancing customer convenience. Danesi highlighted Wolt's commitment to prioritizing customer experience, emphasizing the simplicity and user-friendliness of their app. With features like a live tracker and a responsive support team, Wolt aims to provide a seamless and enjoyable delivery experience for its users. One of Wolt's unique features is its business model, which comprises three separate apps: one for users, one for merchants (restaurants/shops), and one for freelance delivery workers. This setup ensures smooth coordination and efficient delivery processes, benefiting both customers and merchants. For freelance delivery workers, Wolt offers flexibility, allowing them to choose their working hours and supplement their income from other sources. With an average of 10-15 hours per week across Europe, Wolt provides an opportunity for individuals to earn additional income according to their schedule and preferences. As Wolt prepares for its launch in Luxembourg, the company has already signed up around 200 restaurants, with plans to expand its partnerships further. The rollout will occur in phases, starting with an internal launch to ensure operational readiness, followed by a soft launch with selected restaurants and freelance couriers before the full launch. Luxembourg marks the 30th country of operation for Wolt, which originated in Helsinki in 2014 and was acquired by American company DoorDash in 2022. With its expansion into Luxembourg, Wolt aims to enhance the delivery landscape, offering a wide range of choices and unparalleled convenience to customers across the country.

10moHow is Wolt's setup of 3 separate apps for users / merchant / couriers unique? It is how the whole industry operates, doesn't it? 🙃
