The Fourth Schedule of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (CFRN) clearly outlines the functions of Local Governments, some of which Kayode Okikiolu mentioned, and they must act responsibly.
While Local Governments have their responsibilities, we, as citizens, also have our obligations:
✊🏽 Let's be open-minded as we begin to hear from our Local Government leaders.
✊🏽 Let's continue to obey the law.
✊🏽 Let's take charge and take ownership of our community resources.
✊🏽 If capable, let's offer solutions to problems around us without waiting for the Local Government to handle everything.
✊🏽 Let's remain optimistic about the future of our dear country.
