#Hierarchy_of_fall_protection is a systematic approach to reducing or eliminating fall hazards. It is a graded series of solutions that range from the most effective to the least effective: #Hazard_elimination The most effective safety control, this involves removing the hazard. For example, using a pole to change a lightbulb instead of climbing a ladder. #Passive_protection This includes guardrails, which form a protective barrier around an opening or edge. #Fall_restraint This prevents workers from approaching an edge by attaching them to a fixed-length line or tether. #Fall_arrest This protects workers after a fall by stopping them from hitting the surface below. It includes a harness, anchor point, and a lifeline. #Administrative_controls This includes controlled access zones and safety monitoring systems. If it's not practical to use any of the above methods, or if it would result in a greater risk of injury, you can discuss alternative safe work procedures. Regularly practicing setting up and using fall protection equipment can help reduce risk. #hierarchyofcontrol #elimination #passiveprotection #fallrestraint #fallarrest #administrativecontrol #ppes

While the video made me smile, it also serves as a powerful reminder: Safety should always come first, no matter the circumstances. Distractions can happen at any time, and the moment we let our guard down is when accidents are most likely to occur. Let's all stay vigilant and prioritize safety, ensuring we always follow the protocols designed to protect us. #SafetyFirst #WorkplaceSafety #AlwaysBePrepared #OilAndGasIndustry
