PEACE PRIZE NOMINATION FOR UNRWA! RAW UNRWA MAY BE UN-RAW. Weeeeaaaalll! I pray UNRWA finds autonomous peace abiding homes and municipalities for the war refugees who couldn’t make peace in the two state solution that proved time after time after time to be “take and annihilate” Israel, which, any diplomat ‘in-the-know’ knows tried time and time and time again to effect the two state solution; only to learn those demons and dupes of demons are tools for Iranianian led revolutionary Jihad’s extreme disregard of any actual autonomy other than their own. Those forthcoming autonomous places should be in established nations other than Israel and Israel’s territories, into which they can be peacefully absorbed without any support to take or annihilate any other nation, INCLUDING AND IMPARTIALLY ISRAEL, finally too tied up trying to treat terrorists to peaceful co-existence so near! That’ll be the best result of all the insults and assaults.

There are two sides to this conflict and they aren't Israeli and Palestinian. The two sides are reconciliation or fight to the death. There are Israelis and Palestinians on either side, and in safe places like Canada we need to be fighting like hell to support the people on both sides who are aiming towards reconciliation. If you're active posting or discussing this topic, ask yourself whether your commentary is helping find a path to justice and reconciliation or is engaging in cheap vilification as a way of marshalling support for your chosen side? I'm incredibly frustrated seeing people in Canada with no stake in the conflict engage in hawkish boosterism ('from the river to the sea') for irredentist war. If Palestine runs from the river to the sea, who guarantees the security of the 7,000,000 Jews there? Is the idea just screw them because their grandparents should have fled somewhere else? Does that mean that another generation of Israeli and Palestinian children should be sacrificed in the hopes that finally Israel can be destroyed (or perhaps, from Iran's perspective, it's enough that it be seen as trying to destroy Israel)? Note that I also care deeply about the lives and safety of the 7-8,000,000 Arabs in the conflict--I have no time whatsoever for the view that peace can be solved through Israeli military domination or through expulsion of the Arab population.

The ongoing conflict in Palestine has once again brought to light the atrocities being committed by the Zionist regime. The indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas, the forced displacement of families from their homes, and the brutal suppression of any form of resistance have all been documented by numerous human rights organizations. Despite the overwhelming evidence of war crimes and violations of international law, the world seems content to sit back and watch as the Zionist regime continues its campaign of genocide against the Palestinian people. The United Nations has issued statements condemning the violence, but has failed to take any meaningful action to stop it. The complicity of Western governments in this genocide cannot be ignored. The United States provides billions of dollars in military aid to Israel every year, while European countries continue to trade with the Zionist regime, effectively funding their war machine. It is time for the international community to stand up and take action against these atrocities. The world cannot continue to turn a blind eye to the suffering of the Palestinian people. It is time to hold the Zionist regime accountable for their crimes and work towards a just and lasting peace in the region.

Israel, a Settler-Colonial regime, located on the stolen land of Palestine, consistently refuses to define its own borders. It has repeatedly displayed maps indicating its ambition to steal even more land from Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, and Turkey. Even while Israel commits genocide against the indigenous Palestinians, they are simultaneously and enthusiastically bombing yet more civilians in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran. These are not the actions of a civilised nation. These are not the actions of a people that subscribe to the notion of Universal Human Rights. This is inhuman. This is raw, naked aggression. The West, and especially the United States, should be ashamed, and further, should be prosecuted for their shameful sponsorship of the Zionist Colonists. We are meant to be more mature than this. The age of colonialism ended a long time ago. Someone please inform President Biden and VP Harris of this. DPM&FM Ayman Safadi in an interview with Morning Joe, at MSNBC, today: - We need to focus on the real issue, which is the ongoing war on #Gaza, the absence of political horizons for peace, and immediately create a credible, irreversible path towards solving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. - Netanyahu shouldn’t be allowed to impose his agenda of war on all of us. - The #two_state solution is the only answer to the conflict. - We will never allow Israel or Iran to turn #Jordan into a battleground, and we will defend our sovereignty and the safety of our people.

My points effectively challenge the narrative that the displacement of Palestinians was merely a consequence of war. The historical context of land ownership and the intentions behind the establishment of Israel reveal a more complex reality, where the displacement was a result of both military actions and systemic policies aimed at creating a Jewish state. The refusal to allow Palestinian refugees to return after the war further complicates the narrative, raising significant moral and ethical questions about the treatment of displaced populations. Understanding these dynamics is essential for a nuanced discussion of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the ongoing struggles faced by Palestinians.

Looking at the CIA 2020 data, one understands why Lebanon is often ungovernable: the religious affiliation of its citizens. Sunni Muslims make up of 31.9% of the population, Shia 31.2% plus smaller percentages of Alawites and Ismailis, Christian 32.4% (Maronite Catholics are the largest Christian group), Druze 4.5%, very small numbers of Jews, Baha'is, Buddhists, and Hindus. The sizable Syrian and Palestinian refugees aren’t included. Lebanese want stability after their 1975-1990 civil war. Although Shiites see Israel as an enemy, they fear that Hezbollah’s cross-border attacks on Israel could draw them into a war. Lebanon served as a support base for Palestinian militants who frequently clashed with Israel during the 1970s and 1980s. In 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon in response to attacks carried out by Palestinian militants from Lebanon, triggering a three-month War. Border clashes erupt frequently between Israel and Hezbollah, that controls southern Lebanon. While Shiites have trust in Hezbollah, but not the Christians, Sunnis, and Druze. There is not broad support among Lebanese for Hezbollah's role in regional politics. Hezbollah is not only a political party that wields enormous power, it has an exceptionally strong military wing, perhaps even stronger than the Lebanese Army. As it acts as a proxy of Iran and opposes Israel and the US operating in the Middle East, there will be no peace in the region as long as the Israel-Palestinian conflict remains unresolved.

🇺🇳 As is evident now that there will be no end to this mass murder, it is high time that the UN sends in the Peacekeepers. What the UN does now will decide how it is remembered in the books of history, whether it goes down as a spectator or as an international organisation that brought about an end to a genocide. Will it go down like the league of nations? A failed entity devoid of a spine. Only time will tell. 🪖 The UN needs to take the initiative and ask for troops, I'm sure Pakistan and other such countries would provide the necessary troops and technical expertise required to ensure an end to the genocide. Troops are also needed to defend and protect the aid flowing into Gaza and allow it to actually go in! ⚖️ All we need from the UN is the decision to actually bring to fruition in both letter and spirit, the very ideology upon which it was founded. 🇵🇸🇮🇱 This has gone far beyond the point of just a ceasefire and an apology which we know will never come. Israel needs to be punished or this trend will spread like the plague, devouring every thing human and innocent in its path. Israeli leaders need to be tried and punished for their war crimes, they can't be allowed to run scotch free. Blue berets now!!! #Palestine #Gaza #Israel #palestineفلسطين #palestinelivesmatter #israeliwarcrimes #apartheid #unitednations #unicef #military #solution #blueteam #protection #defence #rights #westbank #peace #warcrime
