Whether you're the only person handling digital evidence part time at a small police department, or handle digital evidence at a prosecutor's office or other setting, or part of a large forensics lab, SWGDE is a important (and free) resource for following best practices. SWGDE publishes consensus-based, best practices documents related to Audio, Forensics, Imaging, Photography, Quality & Standards, and Video. After utilizing SWGDE standards for many years to guide a digital forensics unit, it's a privilege to participate as a Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE) member. It's impressive how welcoming and knowledgeable across a wide range of subject areas everyone is. 😃 You can find the latest SWGDE docs here: https://lnkd.in/gCENcxAF #police, #digitalevidence

The Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE) takes on the Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference! Nine SWGDE members are at the conference this week and are presenting 5 sessions, including a SWGDE focused “The Inside Scoop on Digital Evidence Standards and Why They Matter To You”. There is still one more day to stop by the SWGDE booth to talk about how we can help you in your work and how you can help contribute to improve the quality of digital forensics.
