Becoming a better leader happens one step at a time. Over the last 6 weeks, over 100 people have signed up to take part in my leadership skill accelerator sessions so they can take those steps. Every two weeks, I host a 30-minute workshop that focuses on and gives practice just one skill of leadership. Workshops are free and have three parts: 1) Brief intro to the topic 2) Breakout to practice one key action 3) Closing discussion on how to put this action to use That’s it. Next Tuesday at 10am Pacific, I will be leading a workshop on Giving Feedback, a skill we can all get better at. I’ll be honest… 30-minutes isn’t going to transform your leadership abilities. But that isn’t the point and one-time transformative sessions aren’t typically how you become a better leader. You become a better leader the same way you get better at anything.
