Ramsay Health Care and Bupa Australia have partnered to launch a new program focused on developing the next generation of nurses. This innovative collaboration, the first of its kind in Australia, offers graduates from both Bupa Villages and Aged Care, as well as Ramsay Health Care, the opportunity to gain experience across both aged care and acute nursing. Launching in 2025, the program will enable graduate nurses from both organisations to participate in a three-month exchange, enhancing their skills and knowledge to improve patient care in hospitals and residential aged care homes nationwide. In celebration of international nurses day/week, I hope we all take a moment to recognise and appreciate the critical role nurses play in healthcare systems. The South African Nursing Council theme for this year is “ Our nurses. Our future. The economic power of care”. I could not agree more with the theme.
