OWF 2024: How can innovation in Mixed Reality successfully transfer to (medium-sized) companies in Eastern Germany? Let’s find out! At this year’s Eastern German Economic Forum (Ostdeutsches Wirtschaftsforum), 2Sync is making a double appearance: on stage and in a demo session. The event is the perfect opportunity to see how research and startup innovations can transfer into established industries. Our co-founder Julian will be on stage discussing the immense potential of startups and Mixed Reality technologies for established companies. During our following demo sessions, attendees will have the chance to experience our technology firsthand and engage in discussions about practical applications. The participation is organized in collaboration with the Digital Hub Initiative of the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz, and will be introduced by Dr. Anna Christmann, the Federal Government Commissioner for Digital Economy and Start-ups. Why are Start-ups so interesting for larger corporations? Although everyone is interested in getting a first chance at a new technology, that is not the complete picture. Over time, long-established teams in large organisations can become static. Focus shifts to seeking out the team and individual weakness (improvement opportunities if you like) and applying measures to somehow correct and adapt to them. Does this help teams to become more agile? No. So how do we enable teams to be agile? In my opinion and experience, agile and innovative teams have a - Strength-based culture and a - Growth mindset This means one should focus more on the strengths of the individuals and find ways to allow these strengths to be used to maximum effect. This increases confidence creates a feeling of success and progress - a feeling that I and the team are growing. During my own years of work in innovative environments, this way of working, thinking and behaving is natural. Start-ups have it in abundance - and this is what makes them so attractive.
