For OTTO, the metagame Outplayed Community Brawl was never just about winning – it was about building a culture of agility, quick decision-making, and collaboration that reaches far beyond gaming. Huge thanks to yellow house GmbH as the winner and Bechtle for an unforgettable final Gauntlet showdown, and a shoutout to PwC Deutschland and BRANDAD Group AG for being fierce contenders throughout the group stage! When I spoke with Niels Schreiber after the Brawl, we weren’t focused on the scoreboard; we were reflecting on the growth and lessons the team took away. Gaming has become a powerful training ground for developing the skills that matter most in business: real-time problem-solving, resilience, and adaptability. What’s inspiring about OTTO is how they channel the energy and insights from gaming back into their work culture. Each challenge, every close call, and even the defeats during the Brawl turned into valuable lessons. The competitive, growth-focused mindset didn’t end with the Brawl; it’s now fueling their projects, meetings, and team dynamics. For me, this is the ultimate proof that gaming isn’t just play – it’s a strategic tool for business development. OTTO has shown that by leveraging gaming to develop people, the results are felt in the workplace, not just in the game. GG & WP to everyone involved! Today is launch day! 🚀 🚀 As a dad of 2, I've had wonderful experiences with Intermountain Health and the doctors/nurses that provided care for my wife and 2 boys when they were born. There were times they went above and beyond and it didn't feel like a simple "thank you" was enough. The external recognition feature changes the way that employees are recognized and allows many frontline workers to be highlighted in ways they couldn't be previously. Historically, it's not just me who wishes there were better ways to recognize the employees who assist my family at the hospital. Deloitte recently published an article (linked in comments) discussing how employers can help close the tech gap for frontline workers and this statistic stood out: "80% of frontline employees say that their company provides few connection opportunities at work." 😬 External recognition helps engage the deskless and frontline workforce by allowing their customers to celebrate the individuals that create meaningful experiences for their brand. Super pumped for this launch and what it will create for the employees of the companies we work with!
