Managing Gen Z, Performance Cultures, Agility, Growth. Lots of the conversations I am having right now focus on these topics. Did you know, we have another 8-10 years of Gen Z entering the workplace (Youngest Gen Zs are 12 now), thanks Patrick Quinton-Smith for the fascinating webinar with (TRN) The Recruitment Network. I got served this photo from 'memories' this week- in 2016 expand group won two Recruiter Awards for innovation . We didn't recognise it back then, but our people plan was leaning in to what was going to work for Gen Z (and maybe Millennials) as they came into the workforce. A tenuous link maybe but I'll take it! What are you doing as a leader to engage Gen Z and foster a performance culture?

I was excited to join Shelley Stewart III and Tania Zulu Holt at McKinsey & Company Media Day in London last week. Our panel "Tackling talent gaps for inclusive business growth," moderated by Isabel Berwick from the Financial Times, explored some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities shaping Europe’s labor market today. We delved into technological shifts reshaping industries and how organizations can respond by prioritizing reskilling, upskilling, and inclusive hiring practices. Drawing on McKinsey’s research, we discussed actionable strategies to bridge skills gaps, enable upward mobility, and unlock broader talent pools. It was inspiring to hear Tania's and Shelley’s perspectives on fostering inclusivity and economic mobility, and I was honored to share McKinsey’s approach to workforce development.
