The Sir Howard Morrison Centre is a performing arts hub in the heart of Rotorua. The Spanish-style heritage building (circa 1938) was closed in 2017 for earthquake strengthening and heritage refurbishment work. Following meticulous planning and reconstruction, the building officially reopened in 2023, once again standing as an aspirational venue for the local Rotorua community and New Zealand's performing arts ✨ ✨ A StoArmat Refurbishment Render System was specified and applied by Holmac NZ Ltd to restore the exterior facade and interior areas, which was finished in Stolit MP texture. The detailing and craftsmanship matched to emulate the original Spanish-style plasterwork 💛 Sir Howard Morrison Centre, Rotorua Architect: Shand Shelton, First Light Studio Construction: Hawkins Construction Sto Contractor: Holmac NZ Ltd #team #heritage #refurbishment #architecture #sto #exterior #interior

The facade of a building is an important work of building design, as it is a visible part of the independent work that reflects the brilliance and beauty of fine materials and its consistency and teaches the first factor to judge the building as successful or constructive. The exterior wall of the house or villa reflects the harmony, expansion, and ideas highlighted by the architect who influenced him. The facade of your project is its title, and it is also the most important thing you ask for from the outside. This is why you must choose an interface that highlights its beauty. The facade of the tower is important in highlighting the symbolism and aesthetics of the building, but there is a more important role, which is providing protection against external influences such as sunlight, temperature, and the water., rabee alkhateeb

Design of a Patio House with panoramic views in Madrid. Authors of the project HGSE Arquitectos https://lnkd.in/dpdExVrR Participation in the project 3d visualization Oleksandr Konyushevskyy In the design of this house in the Sierra de Madrid we have focused on finding the best way to relate interiority, seclusion and privacy with openness and panoramic views. Therefore, we have designed a patio house with a view, which allows the owners to enjoy the surrounding landscape without compromising their privacy. The combination of the courtyard and pavilion typology is a recurring theme in our projects. The design of this House demonstrates how this combination can satisfy our clients' opposing needs for privacy and exposure.

An awesome of example of stair cladding with engineered floors. We love how our prime grade Herringbones were integrated into the stair case structure. https://lnkd.in/eYDnggeH
Here’s another great picture from our Fulham project with Henry Harry Projects. Herringbone was fitted on the ground floor, and then the stairs clad in matching white oiled timber. We love how the Herringbone was integrated into the structure to elevate design. This architectural concept stands out for its serpentine structure that winds elegantly around the building's circular cores. The seamless flow of the spiral forms suggests movement and growth, reminiscent of a double helix or the gentle twist of a vine. Each level is visually connected through the spirals, creating a cohesive yet dynamic form. The transparency of the façade juxtaposed with the solid bands of the spiral allows for unobstructed views while still providing structural integrity and visual rhythm. This interplay of transparency and solidity is balanced and gives the building an ethereal, lightweight appearance despite its substantial size. What also makes this design unique is how it harmonizes with the natural topography. The building seems to be a natural extension of the rocky landscape, with the winding structure mimicking the organic shapes of the surrounding hills and boulders. This respectful integration with the environment along with the futuristic design elements makes the villa not just a living space but a profound statement of modern architectural art and environmental synergy.

Project Profile: Edinburgh Gate, Harlow As focus within building design shifts towards the impact of the internal environment on its occupants, increased attention has been paid to the architectural benefits of louvres. Although able to serve a range of purposes, the main aim of an architectural louvre is to allow the movement of air into a building, while prohibiting the entry of obtrusive water and debris. Architectural louvres are a specified design choice by many architects and developers due to their support of a building’s integrity and aesthetic enhancement. Beyond ventilation, architectural louvres also provide solar shading and help to reduce solar gain on building facades – further improving the interior environment for occupants. With extensive expertise in the manufacture, installation and maintenance of louvres, Greenwood Louvre’s market-leading product range can assist architects and building contractors to ensure the louvre looks good, performs well and is practical to install and maintain. #ventilationlouvres #architecturallouvres #acousticlouvres #brisesoleil #solarshading #smokeventilation #naturalventilation #carparkventilation #smokecurtain #firecurtain #greenwoodlouvre #louvres
