For years, the defence industry was ignored. In peacetime, it attracted big government contracts but lacked innovation. But at the end of the day, it is PEOPLE who innovate -this is the 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗸𝗲𝘆 to overcoming challenges. Choosing 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 over maximizing profit is not something that the defence industry is known for, but at the end of the day, we have to set our priorities straight. We must 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 and empower 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 that made this amazing technology happen and the 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 using our technology. Over the past three years, our journey has been tough, but looking back, we've witnessed remarkable changes within our company and the wider defence ecosystem. We've faced technological limitations and unexpected challenges that we never imagined. None of this would have been remotely achievable without the incredible efforts of the Aktyvus Photonics team. Their dedication and motivation, despite being underpaid, have been instrumental in our success. I'm immensely proud of how we've surpassed our expectations and achieved what we once thought impossible. The messaging from PEO GCV was focused, concise, and right on point, and from the conversations I had with numerous vendors, it was clear that everyone was on the same page and moving in the same direction. One of the most impressive aspects of this year’s 𝗚𝗩𝗦𝗘𝗧𝗦 was witnessing how synchronized contractors and government personnel were on critical topics like 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗔, 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. The collaboration was tangible, and it’s clear that the focus is on driving innovation and maintaining our military’s edge. A standout moment for me was connecting Petersen Inc. with various OEMs to discuss their impressive production capacity and capabilities. Their ability to address urgent needs for fabrication and manufacturing is unmatched, and it’s clear they’re ready to meet the demands of the defense industry. Another highlight was the WITTENSTEIN North America Booth, where their precision gearboxes and actuators took center stage. Whether it’s for directed energy, robotic arms, or ammo handling, Wittenstein’s solutions are second to none.
