What a great article by Mike Abel and I agree with the points made. To bet on South Africa is to bet on its potential, its resilience, its people. We know we have a spirit and resilience that makes us formidable as a nation. We all have to think how do we make South Africa a better place. How do we uplift the many people who are marginalized? The only way is to build a strong, vibrant, world class economy. It can be, it will be. #EconomicGrowth

Earlier this week, I had the privilege of attending the launch of Phase 2 of the South Africa Government-Business Partnership, which brought together the President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa, Ministers from the Government, and over 100 CEOs from Business. This important gathering sends a clear message: together, we can revive South Africa’s economy. The meeting emphasized the importance of every CEO rallying behind this next phase, and I’m proud that Oliver Wyman has been actively supporting Business for South Africa since the outset of the Partnership. We remain dedicated to addressing the key challenges hindering growth and propelling Africa’s most industrialized economy forward. The targets are ambitious, but we believe that public-private partnerships hold the key to achieving them and placing the nation on a prosperous trajectory.
