THE 12 EMPLOYMENT COMMANDMENTS .👀 Remember these points moving forward in anything you do. 📌 Unchecked loyalty, blind faith, and no boundaries are a recipe for disaster. As you continue on your journey, making a name for yourself, do it strategically, not blindly. 1. HR is there to protect the company, not you. 2. Make sure to document EVERYTHING. 3. Don't consider food as a reward for hard work. 4. Perform at the bare minimum, or you'll be rewarded with more work. 5. Use all your sick/vacation time/PTO. 6. Everyone is replaceable. Period. 7. Keep all emails/texts. 8. Your health is more important than any job. 9. Some of your coworkers low-key hate you. 10. Never stay at one job longer than 2-3 years unless the increase in pay is substantial. 11. Only accept a promotion in title if it comes with a promotion in compensation. 12. Do not overshare and keep your personal life private.

It's that time of year. Everyone has their Christmas decorations out. There are so many facing Christmas and redundancy. I want people to know; 🌞 Don't get in debt for 1 day. 🌞 People want time with you, not materialistic gifts. 🌞 You are enough. Put that imposter syndrome away. You are loved. You are good at what you do. 🌞 The job market will slow down for 6 weeks. By the end of January, it will ramp back up. Businesses need to spend their remaining budget by March, to allow them to get funding for the next financial year. 🌞🌞🌞 You are more than a 2 page CV. Know your worth. Interviews aren't just about you. Remember, you are interviewing them. It's a two-way street. Good luck to all my colleagues and friends in this uncertain time. Hang in there. Your journey is just beginning. Try enjoy your Christmas, without breaking the bank.

Sept 2 2024 Labor Day is to celebrate the hardworking folks that drive this beautiful country we live in. Something I ask you to consider is- is there a better time than now to keep more of what you earn through your labor? I believe that you are your greatest asset and deserve to benefit the most from what you earn. Not me. Not the government. Not corporations and definitely not Wall Street. This Labor Day I celebrate those folks that are deciding to take a stand for themselves. The brave folks that are sick and tired of not feeling like they are in control of their lives and fighting to build the future they want for their family or business. The hardest part of being an entrepreneur for me is feeling like I had to do everything myself to get it done how I wanted it done. I spent over one hundred thousand dollars seeking some magic bullet to get me on track to be successful in business- my mistake was thinking the program would help me get better results and the truth is that I wasn’t fighting for my life and I didnt take 100% responsibility for lack of performance. I was running and hiding from what had to be done. And it was a literal punch to my face that snapped me out of that when I realized I wasn’t the leader for my life that I needed. I was a spectator. So today I ask you to decide how much longer you can run and hide from financial situations that keep you handcuffed and are you ready to fight for your future? Your future self is depending on you.

Wake up at 5AM. 2 hours on the train. 10 hours at the office. 2 hours back home. Collapse into bed. Repeat. That's not how life is supposed to be! This is the life I want to help people escape as so many people end up living like this without realizing there's a way out. I'm not saying trading is a free pass to replacing your 9-5 salary. And that's not how you should look at it (at first). As with anything that can change your life... You need to take baby steps. But those baby steps can turn into a journey that will literally make you wonder how you used to live before. If that scenario above sounds familiar... Let me help you. Enrollment for the January Masterclass opens TOMORROW. Join the waitlist here: https://lnkd.in/g_N7Qk2N

Reflections from the past year - POST 4/5 (Split into Multiple Posts as I couldn't fit everything) 7. Help others as you don’t know when you could be in their position I literally get a minimum of 1 resume a week from someone I know looking for a job or someone else they know looking for a job. I try to help as much as possible as we, me, you are really privileged. Being brought up in a wealthy family is not the only privilege, being able to go to school, not being in a country that is being bombed daily (eg. Gaza), having a family etc etc. the list goes on. We are SO privileged. HELP someone achieve something, help someone learn something, help someone with an idea, anything you can do in your capacity, do it as the satisfaction you get is the greatest and they might think about how you helped them and say a word of prayer for you. We had a big inflation issue across the entire world last year. Our staff were struggling with rent, grocery bills etc. we did a company wide salary adjustment to account for market rates and ensured that they didn’t have to worry about putting food on the table. When you can, make sure you go out of your way to listen to people. The employees we did a market adjustment for, the company was operating at a loss but I felt it was our duty and responsibility for the employees and their families. The result was, we had close to a 100% retention rate for the employees last year and we hit one of our record months last month. I think the prayers of the employees plus their increased confidence in the company values and the fact that they knew we would take care of them really had a big impact on this. 8. Travel if you want to I was always a big traveler, I really wanted to get away, explore and see 1 new country every year at least. Last year I traveled to ~16 different Countries… 3 times to Mexico (I just love the all-inclusive get-aways in Mexico, don’t judge) But now I think travel is overrated, I am a bit traveled-out you can say plus with the day to day work, as a business owner, you can’t really be like hey I am on vacation, so I think the care-free travel plus I miss home and my daily routine now more 🙂
