Fabricating for live events is a wild ride. Before the final form is even designed, there are a host of logistics and constraints to consider: - Timeline until the event - Load in/ Tear down time onsite - Smallest door it may have to travel through - Standard material sizes and availability - Where seams might land on the piece and how do we either hide them or incorporate them intentionally into our design - How might selected dimensionality impact our truck pack All of these (and many more) considerations get weighed, addressed, and resolved before a saw starts spinning in our shop. We just wrapped up this installation in Florida. Brand Apart trusted us to build this gigantic modular structure that would serve as an interactive reflection space for attendees at this particular event. After every session, a core question was added to the exterior structure that came directly from the content by the keynote speaker. Inside you were transported into a playful infinity room environment filled with suspended brand inflatables and prompted to go a bit deeper with the ideas you just heard.
