What I Learned from Promoting Our Meetup: ✅ Invited 1,500+ people on LinkedIn: many clicked going, not many showed up... ✅ Messaged 100+ people: not many came. 🤦♂️ ✅ Made silly YouTube Shorts: burnt out after 3 with mixed reactions. 😂 Despite the self-imposed challenges, it turned out to be an awesome event! 🤔 Next time I will: ✅ Take it more easy, my good friends came even without YouTube shorts ✅ Let people know the topics and speakers sooner ✅ Think about doing it more regularly, rather than one big event once a year Huge thanks to the Strapi and Brno tech community! Huge thanks to whole NOTUM Technologies to Michelle Jantulíková for the live stream, Gabriela Jankovičová for the main organizing, Ondřej Janošík for moderating, Dominik Juriga Ondrej Mikulcik and Pierre Burgy - Strapi for the talks. #Strapi #Brno #Community #Meetup #LessonsLearned

[ 💻 IT Meetup - 18th April 2024 (18.00h)- "Legacy in IT" ] 👇 REGISTER HERE (limited): https://lnkd.in/eEj6i4Yf We’re opening a new season of IT meetups in Čakovec. This year, besides TICM, we added one more partner: Room Lounge Bar! They will provide us with a nice and cozy environment for smaller meetups and panels. The first session this year will open with the theme “Legacy in IT (Breaking Stereotypes and Prejudices)”. Goran David, CEO of ForgeFuse, will give us an answer to what exactly "legacy ''means when we talk about software, hardware, and various other aspects of IT, and he will challenge conventional wisdom by exploring whether 'old' technology still has relevance in today's rapidly evolving tech landscape. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with fellow IT enthusiasts, expand your knowledge, and challenge your assumptions. Reserve your spot now and get ready for an enlightening evening of exploration and discovery! Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with fellow IT enthusiasts, expand your knowledge, and challenge your assumptions. Seats are limited, so make sure you reserve your spot on time! #ckmeetups #cakovec #it #meetups #croatia

Most founder meetups are too crowded and too official. Introducing Founder Speakeasy. We decided to get beyond this. We are organising a founders-only event in London in a secret location. What is different with this meetup? It is deep. This meetup will not be where we will share the wins, tell opaque and shallow stories about how we found PMF or how much ARR we are hitting. It will be about sharing the downs, the doubts, the times when your teammates quit or you lost a customer - all the pain and suffering. We are even thinking about having everyone sign NDAs so that the conversation can be without limits. There are 5 seats in the first one. 3 of them are already filled. If you are interested - just DM me.

I co-hosted second gamedev meetup in Prague. Here are cool stats + 3 takeaways. My co-host as always Mirko Minenza <3 Context: 4 months ago we did https://lnkd.in/e-_Q-Ery First meetup 800 people sourced through 228 people reached out to 85 people responded us 55 people confirmed 32 people attended 32 people enjoyed! Second meetup 0 new people sourced through 70 people reached out to 55 people responded us 45 people confirmed 35 people attended 35 people loved it! We saw familiar faces but a lot of new ones as well. New friendships and bizdev relationships forged. Three takeaways: 1. People love when you bring people together. ↳ chill environment, no agenda, just networking 2. Word of mouth is a powerful thing. ↳ much easier to get people on your next meetup 3. Offline is the king! ↳ this was worth more than 500 connection requests P.S. Will you come to our third meetup?

Talk to anyone who will listen—Coworkers, business owners, friends, or strangers on a plane. Share your ideas—Present at meetups, conferences, or wherever you can get a stage. You have good ideas—Conversations refine them into products that people need and want.

What do you think makes a great conference host? Next week, I will stand in front of 1500+ people from the tech industry in Bulgaria. This time I will not talk about making great dev teams (what we do on a daily basis at Soft Skills Pills). This time I will co-host, together with Zori, DEV.BG All in One 2024. Today, Zori and I asked Mitko about his tips on hosting a conference. But I'd like to ask you, as an audience: 📌 What do you like in a conference host? (And what do you dislike?) - Hari P.S. It turns out that I match one of Zori's criteria for great co-hosts: to be tall 🤣

Being a DevRel is so easy. All you need to do is - Create technical content for the community - Build and engage with multiple tech communities - Organise and host workshops, hackathons, tech events, meetups, community sessions both offline and online - Be the bridge between the end user (developer) and the company - Network with multiple developers across the globe - Handle multiple social media accounts of the company - Communicate with the developers and get their feedback - Work with the product team to improve the product - Educate the developers towards the product - Represent the companies at multiple conferences events, and seminars - Travel to multiple countries to attend events - and much more... being a DevRel is not everyone's cup of tea! #devrel #developer
