I finally had a chance to watch Articulate's AI Preview and Roundtable. The program, like much of AI, has a long way to go before producing content that doesn't need to be heavily edited. I like the idea of someday having a consistent voice among a team or organization. I believe that is something that will be achievable soon. I also like the ability to test the content out in different blocks when developing in Rise. That has the potential to be a huge time saver and to give different ideas when in a time crunch. I am intrigued by the ability to generate images in Storyline. I'm eagerly looking forward to testing the program with its updates in July. However, I can't help but recall Cammy Bean's cautionary remarks about the 'garbage in, garbage out' concept when rapid eLearning tools were introduced in 2010. It's clear that instructional Designers will still play a crucial role in reviewing and rewriting AI-generated content.
