asdlfk;jasdf 🦃 I don't know who needs to hear this today, but titles don't matter. ▪️ A CMO of a $20M start-up looking to expand their scale experience could be a fantastic candidate for a VP of a $200M brand. ▪️ A Director at a $2B enterprise who wants to expand their scope of ownership could bring valuable scale experience as SVP at a $100M scale-up. ▪️ A VP at a $50M high-growth company might bring the tolerance for change that a $500M brand undergoing transformation needs in a key Senior Manager. OPEN TO WORK FOLKS – Don't be afraid to apply for an enterprise Director role because you've been on the executive team at start-ups. 🚨 RECRUITERS 🚨 Don't be afraid to interview candidates because they've had more senior titles! Careers are non-linear, particularly in tech. 🖤 Titles mean almost nothing to anyone but our egos 🖤 And I say this as someone who *desperately* needed the validation of that big title earlier in my career. I get it. Especially as a woman in tech and someone that was often younger than my colleagues...I really get it. Don't let your ego get in the way of a fulfilling career.
