Reviewing or monitoring split-screen video-electroencephalography (VEEG) enables clinicians to correlate paroxysmal behaviors with EEG patterns, providing additional visual data that could improve diagnostic accuracy, clinical management, and patient outcomes. Stratus utilizes two high-definition cameras with night vision to provide high-quality video during the day and at night. Additionally, Stratus’ video is time-synced to within one half a second of the EEG data for added clarity and review efficiency. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gReu-MHD

EEG trending is a commonly used feature in all continuous EEG and ICU recordings and provides a compressed view of the extended EEG recordings, making it possible to view the entire recording at a glance. This facilitates monitoring patients and saves time by quick identification of critical episodes. Registered EEG Technologists (R. EEG T.s) are great at recording and monitoring brain activity in clinical settings - well prepared EEGs recorded by an R.EEG T.s are the clinical gold standard! Yet, only about 5,600 R. EEG T. registries are active in the US today! Contrast this to 6,120 hospitals and a total of >916,700 hospital beds in the US, and we start to understand the gap there is to fill. That is roughly 162 beds per R. EEG T. assuming all of them are actively working at a hospital today. But we know that there are also >1,750 outpatient neurology practices with >3,000 different physical locations in the US, and many of those would also benefit from increased access to brain monitoring. To make high quality clinical brainwave assessments more easily available now, technology must help to close the gaps. Let’s empower the highly skilled R.EEG T.s remaining, augment their knowledge, and provide them with better tools. Also, let’s simplify and offload repetitive tasks in a way that reduces the obstacles to high quality clinical EEG acquisitions. That way, we can get EEG closer to where it is needed, when it is needed, and improve life changing patient care! #MedicalDevices #EEG #HealthInnovations #MHealth #Healthcare #ASET #ABRET

In neurocritical care, every second counts. ⏱ Continuous EEG monitoring provides real-time insights into brain activity, helping clinicians respond swiftly to neurological events. But what happens when an MRI is needed? Traditional EEG electrodes must be removed and then reapplied by a trained EEG technologist, potentially causing delays that can impact patient outcomes. Our latest white paper explores how MR Conditional / CT electrodes streamline care in the ICU by allowing seamless transfer between EEG monitoring to MRI and CT imaging, minimizing interruptions to patient care. Patients can be easily disconnected and reconnected to the EEG equipment by a non-EEG expert, eliminating the need to call in techs during off hours. Learn how these electrodes improve patient safety, reduce workflow disruptions and enhance diagnostic efficiency. Download the white paper to explore the benefits for ICU and EMU teams. https://hubs.li/Q02WdS1c0 #criticalcare #MRI #EEG #HealthcareInnovation #PatientCare #ICU
