Because I run a recruiting and staffing agency, people will often approach me about whether we have any general "office" roles. I typically begin by inquiring whether they have experience in direct hire roles commonly sought after by our agency, such as paralegals, attorneys, accounts payable/receivable specialists, or accountants. If they don't, then I'll ask them if they have sales experience. If you are able to help a company generate revenue, then you'll probably be able to find work quickly and make a good income. But usually they'll tell me that they don't want to do sales, because that comes with extra pressure and accountability. If they aren't willing to do that and just want a general office role, then I'll advise them to take a class in QuickBooks and find a role as an entry level bookkeepers. Some of the most common office positions we receive orders for include: -Bookkeeping -Accounts Payable -Accounts Receivable If you want an office role and don't have specific experience, be aware that almost all businesses could use someone who can help them drive revenue and can be good with talking with customers. And almost all businesses will need help with counting the money, paying bills, and collecting payment. Why do I ask the questions in that order? Because those are the roles that our clients are most likely to need help with. #hiring #jobs #staffing #hr #officejobs
