Last Tuesday, Anna Mason facilitated the Milken Institute Global Conference’s first all-women panel focused on investing. This insightful discussion was grounded in data and outlined steps to take action on the $700 billion opportunity to provide more financial services to women. Kwanza Jones ♛ pointed out power doesn’t have to be “dominance over but instead a domino effect of possibilities.” Sallie Krawcheck highlighted one of these possibilities when she observed how we masculinize wealth, sharing a poignant quote from Gloria Steinman “One of the tricks of the patriarchy played on us is they made being bad with money cute, fun, flirty, and attractive.” Inspired by Erin Harkless Moore, CFA and Linnea Roberts examples of how they’ve seen women fund managers drive both alpha and innovation, we are excited build our power and tap into the flywheel of investing in women. If you, like us, agree with Tonya Allen that “talent is distributed equally, but opportunity is not,” we encourage you to check out this panel! #GenderDiversity #WomenInFinance #DiversityAndInclusion #GenderEquality #WomenLeaders #InclusiveLeadership #EmpowerWomen #GenderBalance #WomenInBusiness #EqualOpportunity

Although there have been great strides when it comes to women in the investing space, there are still many challenges that are prevalent. Rounding powered by card-linking is a tool that can reduce the barriers for women in their investment journey and help them allocate more funds to their investment accounts. #FinanicalWellness #WomenInvesting #FinancialEmpowerment

Did you know that 42% of all U.S. businesses are owned by women? Over the last two decades, women-owned businesses have grown by a staggering 114%. Yet, the journey is far from equal. Despite such impressive growth, all-women teams received only 1.9% of venture capital funding last year. We've come far, but the road ahead demands more equitable opportunities.

More great questions to think about from Katty Kay’s talk on power at the AssetMark Women Forum in June. “What if what’s stopping us from wanting power is not ourselves, but power itself? For example, how it’s obtained, how it’s wielded and rewarded. What if we could change the definition of power? Would more women want it? What are your thoughts?
