A conversation about Left Ventriculography Great round table discussion posted in 2013 by Dr. Morton Kern with Cath Lab Digest https://lnkd.in/eRPpnQiR The fact these conversations have been happening for years and yet - ventriculography with end hole and non-flush catheters is still occurring and near misses like this one baffles me. This is just one of several cases I have been sent recently. Dr. Vidovitch makes a strong statement: "I can imagine that with the use of power injectors such as ACIST the temptation to perform a power injection through a universal radial catheter (TIG, Jacky or similar) is too great to be ignored. I strongly believe a pigtail is the way to go rather than an end-hole catheter — the small side holes on TIG/Jacky are just not sufficient." Further discussion published in JACC: https://lnkd.in/eS2qcRCR Physicians in this network: What's your stance on using Tig and Jacky catheters for LV grams (either hand or power injection)? Is it worth it?

LV angiography is, if not obsolete, only to be done in carefully selected patients. What is your opinion on this topic?
