|CANADA - CHANGING DLI| Canada, in a bid to tighten her borders and reduce the number of international students (coming into the country), IRCC has now made it compulsory that students inform them about the change of their Designated Learning Institution (DLI). If a student fails to do so, their previous DLI will notify the government that the student is no longer enrolled with them. Their study permit will be revoked and may also be ground for deportation. Students are now required to obtain a fresh study permit for the new institution. My advice Stick to the initial DLI used. Counselors are also to advise students from the initial counseling stage by giving them the right program that will suit their career path (either previous study or present work experience or both). What do you think about this? #canada #studyabroad #highereducation

Starting February 15, 2024, students who graduate from master’s degree programs in Canada of less than 2 years (8 months minimum) may be eligible for a 3-year PGWP. The length of your PGWP depends on the level and duration of your study program and the expiry date of your passport, whichever comes first. CANADA POST-GRADUATION WORK PERMIT (PGWP) MYTH vs. FACT. Myth: International students in Canada automatically get a PGWP after graduation. Fact: To qualify for a PGWP, you must complete an eligible program at a designated learning institution, meet the required language standards, and ensure your field of study meets the eligibility criteria. Programs or institutions that don’t meet these requirements will make you ineligible. Understanding the eligibility requirements for a PGWP after completing your studies in Canada is key to avoiding misconceptions and ensuring you are on track to secure one after graduation. #StudyinCanada #StudyAbroad #StudyAbroadAgency #EducationConsultant #Japa #StudyNowEduCareLimited

International students in Canada may soon need to apply for a new study permit if they transfer to a different Designated Learning Institution (DLI). Currently, students can change their DLI anytime, but they are encouraged to notify IRCC via a secure portal. Key changes include: 🍁Students must apply for a new study permit before starting at a new DLI. 🍁Students can work full-time during scheduled breaks but are limited to 24 hours per week during academic sessions, up from 20 hours. 🍁If a student applies for a new study permit, they can continue studying without a valid permit until a decision is made, provided they stay in Canada and meet other conditions of their previous permit. What do you think about these potential changes? 👇 ———- #canada #internationalstudents #IRCC #studypermit #highereducation #studyincanada http://dlvr.it/TBDhTt

Having a break between studies is often a normal part of student life as individuals pursue work, travel, and other opportunities in between stints within a classroom. Can these breaks impact an application to a Canadian school? The short answer is no, but applicants must take certain precautions to explain this break and ensure they give themselves the best chance of success. It is important to note that Canadian Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs) tend to accept a certain length of study gap for different levels of study. DLIs accept a gap of up to two years for undergraduate programs, while for post-graduate programs, DLIs tend to allow a gap of five years. Some institutions in Canada can even allow longer gaps, provided that a good reason is given to explain the gap in studies. #studyincanada #canada #studyabroad #internationalstudent
