NEW LIFE SCIENCE STRATEGIES ➡ In Sweden, Regeringskansliet's Life Science Office is presently working on a renewed Swedish life strategy. ➡ In Denmark, Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs is hopefully soon on their way to publish the new Danish life science strategy 🔃 In Medicon Valley Alliance, we are hoping the two new life science strategies will utilize the experiences and results, we have shown in our strong life science eco-system in Medicon Valley- EU's largest life science region - for the benefit of both our life science nations individually and jointly. In Dagens Nyheter, CEO and Chairman of Malmö's Medeon Science Park & Incubator Ulf G Andersson and Arwin Sohrabi and I contribute with an opinion piece in the aftermath of the endless speeches during the Danish royal state visit to Sweden of more Swedish-Danish collaboration. We hope the two national authorities will utilize and take advantage of the experiences and results, we have built up over the past almost 3 decades in the Øresund region - "Ett Life science tvärs över Öresund är ett guldägg som bara väntar på att plockas" We believe, that together, we can create results that will make both Sweden and Denmark stronger and more competitive life science nations. But it requires that we break our old way of thinking, take off our national blinders and embrace the opportunities of Danish-Swedish cooperation more strategically and wholeheartedly. Federico Herrera and Manuela M. 🌟 Welcome to EXPOSIM Project EU, a five-year #HorizonEurope research project dedicated to building a strong evidence base on the effects of environmental and occupational stressors, including chemicals, air pollution, noise, and aeroallergens, on immune-mediated diseases (#IMDs) throughout one's lifetime. Coordinated by Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), the project brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of ten partners from seven European countries. Through extensive studies, #EXPOSIM aims to deepen our understanding of how a combination of these stressors impact our immune health - from pregnancy to adulthood. 🚀 The project will showcase the effectiveness of exposure-reducing and health-promoting interventions, with a special emphasis on vulnerable and highly exposed individuals (mother-child population, workers at risk, etc.) Join us on this journey to co-create health-promoting actions, education, and training together, as we in EXPOSIM recognise the importance of collaboration and engagement. 💡 Curious to learn more?
