Annals of Civic Duty ~ Having performed our civic duty -- the most sacred act as far as our lives are concerned -- we photographed ourselves at the entrance of our early voting site. Last, but not least, what attracted us to these United States is not money, material wealth, and luxury, but the freedom to live as we wished, and not being ruled by a theocrat, oligarch, plutocrat, or autocrat. P.s.: The only oath we have taken is to the very humanly drafted Constitution of the United States by Enlightenment Thinkers -- inspired by the Ancient Greeks and the Native American Haudenosaunee Confederacy -- with all its strengths and weaknesses, where the latter can always be amended with the passage of time to remove inequities. We hope the Great gift of Democracy -- along with the empirical scientific method -- invented by the Ancient Greeks in its pre-modern form will continue to serve us and our descendants in the years to come.

The World Wide Web and social media first emerged as a cultural force in the late 1990’s through early-to-mid aughts. The geopolitical backdrop was a unipolar world of United States hegemony with prevailing winds advancing globalization. Regardless of one’s perspective on that period, that is clearly not the world in which we find ourselves living today. May the amplifying cycles of rage and revenge cease and a shared pursuit of peace and justice for all prevail. 🙏

“Rewriting History: The Left’s Assault on American Heritage” Since taking office, the Biden-Harris administration has allowed the far-left to push an agenda that seeks to erase and rewrite our nation’s history. Local governments, driven by progressive ideologies, have continued removing 100’s of statues and monuments that honor American figures and heritage. The administration’s reversal of Trump-era orders protecting these monuments sends a clear signal: traditional symbols of patriotism and history are no longer a priority. This undermines our shared culture, rewriting history to fit a divisive, politically correct narrative that disregards the nation’s roots.

National Native American Heritage Month- November 2024 “During National Native American Heritage Month, we honor the history, rich cultures, and vast contributions of Native peoples. We celebrate the hundreds of Tribal Nations that are ushering in a new era in our Nation-to-Nation relationships. And we recommit to respecting Tribal sovereignty and self-determination and working in partnership with Tribal Nations to bring new prosperity and security to Native peoples. Indigenous peoples' history in the United States is defined by strength, survival, and a deep commitment to and pride in their heritage, right to self-governance, and ways of life. Native peoples have built and sustained powerful Tribal Nations, and the knowledge they developed still benefits us today. However, our Nation's failed policies of the past subjected generations of Native peoples to cruelty, violence, and intimidation. The forced removal of Native peoples from their homes and ancestral homelands; attempts to assimilate entire generations; and stripping of Indigenous peoples of their identities, cultures, and traditions are some of the darkest chapters of our Nation's history. The trauma and turmoil fundamentally altered their communities. Indigenous peoples have persisted and survived -- a testament to their resilience and resolve. Today, Native communities are leading the way forward and continuing to strengthen the fabric of the United States. They have long served in the United States military and currently serve in the highest levels of government -- including the Secretary of the Interior, Deb Haaland, America's first Native American Cabinet secretary. In every field and sector, Native peoples are pushing for progress and contributing to our shared prosperity.”
