Subsea Corrosion Ltd’s Post

All Cathodic Protection (CP) systems require at least some level of monitoring during their lifetime. This can be in the form of general visual inspections (topside and/or subsea), dropcell surveys, fixed monitoring system and dive surveys. Any combination of the above surveys will help to confirm the status of the CP system in terms of the level of cathodic protection given to the relevant steel structures. Whether on a regular (annual/bi-ennial) or less frequent basis, it is important to monitor and review the survey results to ensure that effective CP is being afforded to the steel structures and benchmark degradation rates so maintenance strategies can be established. The survey data is heavily relied upon to provide accurate recommendations, which may have significant financial consequences. Subsea Corrosion offers a full range of CP survey, inspection, troubleshooting, reviews and audits are all carried out by our highly experienced in-house CP Engineers.
