In the complex web of our energy infrastructure, one term that often emerges is grid capacity. This crucial concept refers to the maximum amount of electricity our energy grid can transmit and distribute at any given moment. Why does grid capacity matter to businesses and consumers alike? As technology advances and the uptake of unstable renewable energy sources increases, ensuring the grid can meet these demands is essential for economic growth and sustainability. At ENODA, we're at the forefront of developing technologies that not only enhance grid capacity but do so in a manner that supports our commitment to decarbonisation and energy efficiency. By innovating in this space, we are creating a future where energy systems are robust, reliable, and ready for the demands of tomorrow.

The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has officially acknowledged Surface Hydrokinetic Turbine (SHKT) technology under the Hydro category, highlighting its potential to advance innovation and explore alternative pathways for achieving net-zero emissions and fostering sustainable development in the power sector. SHKT technology leverages the kinetic energy of flowing water to generate electricity, requiring minimal or no potential head. Unlike conventional hydropower systems, which depend on the construction of infrastructure such as dams, diversion weirs, and barrages to create the necessary head, SHKT operates without the need for such civil structures. This pioneering technology provides a cost-efficient solution to meet the rising demand for base-load, round-the-clock renewable energy, especially in regions with limited grid connectivity. SHKT systems are straightforward to install and generate electricity at a competitive rate of ₹2-3 per unit, offering mutual benefits for both energy producers and consumers. Integrating SHKT technology marks a transformative milestone in utilizing India’s extensive water infrastructure, including canals and hydropower tailrace channels, for sustainable energy production. With its vast scalability and potential for gigawatt-level deployment, SHKT offers significant opportunities for renewable energy growth, driving the overall advancement and sustainability of the power sector.

Have you ever imagined the scale and potentials that bidirectional electric vehicles (EVs) can provide? Transportation electrification marks a major step forward in energy transition as we’ve been relying on fossil fuels for more than a century. However, with Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) tech applied to bidirectional EVs, energy transition would soar. V2X ensures that the energy flows bi-directionally through enabling EV charging and discharging, and bridges the gap between EVs and residential/commercial networks. The dispatchable energy from EV batteries could provide a buffer for grid stability and resilience. In addition, it encourages renewable energy adoption and accelerate the public benefits of electrification in return. Together, we aim to establish a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy infrastructure.
