#Semiconductor Industry gaining momentum - ELCINA Congratulates Suchi Semicon Pvt Ltd for inaugurating its state-of-the-art ATMP facility in Surat, Gujarat. This facility would be producing 300,000 chips daily and eventually aims to produce 3 million chips a day in the next three to five years. Apart from Suchi Semicon, four other semiconductor OSAT/ATMP (assembly, testing, marking and packaging) projects are ongoing and approved under ISM viz. Tata Electronics in Morigaon, Assam, Micron Technology, CG Power and Kaynes Semicon in Sanand, Gujarat. ELCINA believes that investments in ATMP/OSAT under the aegis of India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) will play a pivotal role in development of Semiconductor Manufacturing eco-system in India and the progress is most encouraging. #India - the rising star in the global #semiconductor manufacturing landscape. This week will see the third edition of Semicon India after its start in 2022. The fact that one of the most relevant fairs related to semiconductor #manufacturing takes place there reflects India’s commitment to becoming a major player in semiconductor manufacturing and innovation. The India Semiconductor Mission is a transformative initiative aimed at establishing a robust semiconductor ecosystem in the country. With a vision to position India as a global hub for semiconductor design, manufacturing, and innovation, this mission is set to attract significant investments and foster collaboration among industry leaders. And the mission has been quite successful so far - currently, there are 5 projects approved, a potential 6th one has been announced just last week (Adani Group + Tower Semiconductor).
