Eurofinance is all about exploring and sharing! Exploring the latest trends in Treasury and sharing best practices with each other. This is what we also did at our Treasury Barometer roundtable: explored our clients’ evolving needs and shared the findings from our industry benchmarking analysis for the Energy sector. From global to regional to subsector, we deep dived into Treasury set-ups, system connectivity, trade finance, cash management and liquidity solutions most prevalent in the market. You've probably heard the term energy trilemma. It highlights the needs to balance energy sustainability, security and affordability. Today, we also see a push for energy independence as governments, companies and individuals are called to focus on shifting geopolitical risks, new trade routes, cyber threats, as well as expensive financing. The role of treasury and finance is threefold and very critical. 1) Protect the core: transact securely, smoothly, on time. 2) Optimize, maximize benefits, reduce costs, drive efficiency, and 3) Innovate at scale. Be a powerhouse and the growth engine for your company. This is why we created our treasury barometer. What we've done is that we have analyzed the treasury setup of more than 160 companies operating in the energy sector. Today, we hosted a roundtable at Eurofinance to share those insights with our clients. What I like the most about the round table. Is to see those clients exchanging ideas on how they can really upgrade their treasury setup, their liquidity structure, their ERP systems or TMS systems, ultimately leading to a future proof ready treasury function. This complex world brings a lot of opportunities. Let's embrace them together.
