Christmas is a time when lots of businesses shut the doors for a week or two and take a well-earned break. But a lot of building firms and tradespeople just don’t have that luxury. There are deadlines to be met. Urgent work to complete. Projects to keep on track. We know that for, a lot of our customers, in and around the festivities it will be business as usual. And the last thing you need if you’re trying to press on to get a project finished is to be held up because a supplier is shut until January and you can’t get hold of a part you need. In the worst case scenario, it can end up costing you money. And that’s the last kind of Christmas present anyone wants. So our gift to you this festive season if you are working is our availability. With the exceptions of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, it will be business as usual at Sugatsune UK HQ. We’ll be open normal office hours on: ● Christmas Eve (Tuesday 24th December) ● Friday 27th December ● Monday 30th December ● New Year’s Eve (Tuesday 31st December) ● Friday 2nd January Our team will be on hand to help with anything you need over the festive period, be it a restock at short notice, or a query about specs or installation. That said, we hope you all find some time to take a well-earned break over the next couple of weeks. We’d also like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to you all for your custom over the past 12 months, and we look forward to continuing to work with you in the new year. From all the Sugatsune team, wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2025! https://lnkd.in/evKPCnFn

In Australia, Christmas occurs during the summer months, creating a unique set of traditions and celebrations. Here are some key features of 🎄 traditions in Australia: 1. Christmas BBQs and Beach Celebrations • Since it’s summer, many Australians celebrate Christmas outdoors with a BBQ. Popular foods include seafood (like prawns and lobster), grilled meats, and fresh 🥗 . • Beach Days: It’s common for families to spend Christmas Day at the beach, enjoying the sun and water. 2. Christmas Decorations with a Summer Twist • Christmas Bush: A native Australian plant with small red flowers used as a festive decoration. • Christmas Lights: Despite the warm weather, Australians still enjoy decorating their homes with Christmas lights, often in the form of elaborate light displays. 3. Carols by Candlelight • A major Christmas tradition, especially in cities like Melbourne and Sydney, where large outdoor events are held. People gather in parks to sing Christmas carols, often holding candles or lanterns. 4. Christmas Crackers • Popular in Australia, these festive noisemakers are pulled open to reveal a small gift, joke, or paper crown. 5. Christmas 🥗 lunch • The meal often includes cold meats, seafood, and fresh fruits. Desserts include pavlova (a meringue-based dessert topped with fruit) and trifle. 6. Boxing Day (December 26th) • A public holiday in Australia, it’s a day for sales and sporting events, including the famous Boxing Day Test cricket match and yacht races. Christmas is ONE day. Let’s be real—writing off the entire month of December? That’s not celebrating, that’s giving up. Xmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day? Fair game. Eat, drink, be merry. But the entire month of December? Let’s call it what it is—gluttony with decorations. "But Asher, I just want to enjoy my Christmas break!" Relax, I’m not suggesting you eat sad salads or chew on celery sticks. If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I don’t believe in dieting. But here’s the thing: it’s easy to let December turn into a free-for-all with promises of "starting fresh in January." Be honest—how many years have you made that same promise? Here’s the truth: Real change doesn’t come from January 1st. It comes from deciding right now that you’re done with excuses. That is what it is going to take. What is holding you back: - I’ll start tomorrow - I don’t have time - I don’t have the motivation Most people would agree that health is among the top 3 most important things in life. Why do you think we do not prioritise it? This December, choose to be different. You don’t have to be perfect—just consistent. Start now. The path enlightens as you walk it. ------ I post fitness content for corporates Follow me for more content like this

Christmas Day 2024 A day of magic and counting my blessings. Family, a warm home, plenty of food and enough to buy thoughtful Christmas gifts. So what if I arrived to Rob's house with wet hair, unwrapped gifts, forgot the Yorkshire pudding tin, and my tree at home lacking baubles and ornaments. As expected, Christmas eve and Christmas day was lovely. Family fun, aunt Bessie's yorkshires, and 3 Willy Wonka movies. I liked the young Wonka character. He did not give up on his dreams. I was very impressed at his skills in automating the laundry tasks so he could go out an earn his fortune. It reminded me of QuickBooks tools and the MTD journey 🤣 I did no work on Christmas day and I'm not working today, Boxing Day. I'm chilling, then walking and spending some time with Rob & the dog (they come as a package 🙄). It's a challenge to take another day off when I have work to do but I think it will do me good. No matter how much work is on my list, I know that it will all get done. It always does. Deadlines have this amazing power to: a) identify what is really important, and b) create the motivation and energy to do the work in a highly focussed and efficient manner. I'm meeting with some of the team in January to see if we can do more of b) earlier in the process. 2024 has been a challenging year and 2025 will be just as challenging 🤣 as I squeeze in 60th birthday celebrations throughout the year. Delegation, automation, and planned reviews are the key. It's impossible for me to be perfect but I will continue with my goal of being better. I can't do it alone so I will be asking others to help me. (That bit took me a long time to learn!) Confidence is the best thing I've acquired over the years Happy Boxing Day ❤️ Be like Wonka and be confident in pursuing your dreams 🙏

What’s the straw that will break the camel’s back for you? Is it missing your children’s Nativity? Is it working on Christmas Eve instead of going to see the Pantomime? Is it not being able to fully relax on Boxing Day because you know there will be people wanting questions answered between Christmas and New Year? Everyone has a breaking point, a point where the cost of being the ‘go to’ person in the business outweighs the benefits you get from working so hard. It could be that you are trying to hand over the day to day operations to your Team but something just isn’t quite clicking, so you get sucked back in; answering the questions, dealing with the suppliers, talking to clients, manufacturing/delivering the product. It’s possibly the missed opportunities you see in the peripheral while you are bogged down with firefighting. I can help. I have lived experience creating time and headspace for Founders, Directors, Owners in businesses. My own businesses and other peoples businesses. I can help you delegate the firefighting, so you can focus on strategy and taking advantage of those opportunities for growth and expansion. £5K - my businesses audit will give you clarity, focus and a documented plan. So you can take a step back to grow, with focus and clarity and calmness. For long term success and stability. Don’t wait for the straw, get ahead and be kind to yourself. DM me to start the conversation 💡

Happy Boxing Day! I have a wee offer for anyone currently thinking about breaking the cycle of family dysfunction. Maybe it's something on your mind today.. The dynamics of family get togethers can shed light on unhealthy habits we can do much better than. When you see it, you see it and when you feel you want to do things differently then you'll feel amazing deciding to do just that. In the New Year I am putting together a small group of 4-5 people to work closely with for 6 months. We will be an emotionally healthy family and as 'you become who you surround yourself with' we will all develop, grow and become. This will have an impact on family get togethers next year, making things easier and will have a positive effect on your children throughout the rest of their lives! Plus you'll LOVE it! Guaranteed ♥️ It's the first time I am doing this so the 'emotionally healthy family' membership is only £25pm for 6 months, £150. (I plan to add a zero to the end of that once this is established.) My wee Boxing Day offer is worth grabbing - only £90 for 6 months Mid Jan-Mid July. This makes it £15pm and there is one spot available at this price. DM me for the link to sign up, or to find out more, and start the new generational thread of emotional maturity in your family line. Dysfunction isn't a family member being different to you and it's not someone annoying you. We are all different and all annoying at times! This is subtle. It's the belittling, silent treatment, walking on eggshells, it's making you feel unimportant, the lack of effort around you, lack of connection and apparent disconnection, lack of any deeper conversations than the weather, how busy the shops are etc. Even mispronouncing your name or your cats name slightly is something to note, as is negativity, moaning and gossip. It's a feeling of being lonely around them. You can't change them so stop trying. We can only change ourselves and our reactions. There is huge wealth in emotional health, decide now to break the cycle in 2025. Become part of my exclusive 'Emotionally Healthy Family' next year, see you in my DM's.
